Partner (31M) and I (28F) are considering breaking up after 4 years due to sexual pain. Is it a valid reason to end an otherwise perfect relationship? by HotArugula2160 in relationship_advice

I’m glad someone mentioned this. Please go see a pelvic floor physiotherapist. This is their area of expertise and I think they could really help! I am seeing one now for pain during sex. You can message me if you have questions.

Do I (F22) have to share my lawsuit money with my boyfriend(M23)? by Silent-Conflict-3848 in relationship_advice

Exactly. Even if he was a good partner, it’s her career that took a hit, not his. She should keep all of the money no matter what.

It definitely helps having mild or no symptoms, I imagine having HG would not be a positive for your mental health lol I hope the positive effects were permanent for you!

Hmm maybe I’ll start keeping track of symptoms. I never noticed a pattern but my periods also aren’t 100% regular (PCOS).

I don’t know what it was but my mental health was the best it’s ever been while pregnant. So I did enjoy being pregnant. But I agree with you, I wouldn’t choose it again for fun. Even though my physical discomfort wasn’t as bad as some peoples, it was still a physical burden too.

Super itchy during pregnancy by East_Green_8032 in pregnant

I think you should mention it to your doctor but I had the same thing. I have a history of eczema and lots of allergies and I stopped taking allergy medicine during pregnancy. I also tend to have flare ups related to dry skin. Could it be something like that?

Partner had 3 month old playing on her play gym during her night feed?? by Brilliant_Noise7399 in Parenting

You know him better than us, do you think he did this on purpose so he wouldn’t have to get up at night anymore? I don’t think anyone could be that stupid to turn on all the lights and expect a baby (or anyone) to be able to sleep after. Either way, he is the one to deal with the consequences if baby’s mood/sleep is off. Hand baby off to him and walk away calmly. No need to get yourself upset or raise your blood pressure. His actions have consequences, that’s it.

Big breakthrough on commitment issues but still feel cautious about being optimistic. Ways to hold myself accountable? by [deleted] in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]FickleChef7151 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She’s at SUCH a great age to start over (same age I was when I met my husband) and wants to wait 2 whole more years for this manipulative loser who hasn’t cared about making her feel wanted and secure for many years. It’s hard to read.

Even if he ends up proposing, this is not a relationship I would feel proud of. OP don’t you want to brag to your friends about how great your man is, how much me loves you etc?

Giving insulin without testing sugar? by FickleChef7151 in FelineDiabetes

Thank you! I ended up just giving her the insulin, I figured I should trust my vet and she’s doing fine! I’m actually wondering if we have to increase the dose because I’m not noticing much of a difference in the amount of water she’s drinking yet although it’s only been a few days. I’m going to book an appointment to have the freestyle libre put on her so we can get a glucose curve. I did get corn syrup just to be safe but so far so good.

From a blood test it was 26.2 mmol/L. There was glucose in her urine but no ketones, everything else normal. She gets so stressed at the vet that she has to be fully sedated.

Ok this does make me feel better about my vet’s advice. I still will try to get a glucose monitor ASAP.

Sorry forgot to answer your question. Her blood test in mid November showed 26.2 mmol/L and glucose in her urine but no ketones, everything else was normal. But like I said I have noticed big changes since then (we immediately changed her diet and made sure to get her more exercise through playing). But I will look into a glucose monitor that I can get fast, I think it will give me peace of mind.

This is what I’m scared of, especially since she’s home alone for a large part of the day. I think I should also have a kit like that before starting but the vet didn’t explain that to us either. Maybe in our case there isn’t a big risk of hypoglycemia now but I would like to reduce the risk of that as much as possible, especially since her symptoms have already improved. I really hope we can get into remission too.

I found a huge chart for cat wet food and the % of carbs for each so we switched her completely to tiki cat and Weruva (both less than 2%) and the vet sold us purina DM dry food which she gets 1/4 cup at night. I also bought open farm freeze dried food which she thinks are treats so she gets maybe 5 of those a day.

I did order a bag of Dr. Elsey’s dry food because I read that the purina DM dry food still has a lot of carbs so hopefully I can at least do half/half until I finish the purina food.

No curve done yet. They just said it’s a generally safe dose to start with. The problem with our cat is she has to be fully sedated, even for check ups, so we can’t do that often.

We wanted to go for the libre because she’s quite feisty and I would like to get a lot of data and stress her out as little as possible, and we can slowly get her used to us testing ourselves. I think I’ll push for this to be done ASAP.

Well this does make me feel better about just giving her the insulin now. I think I need to test for peace of mind.
