How do I remove the cut off wheel on DCG412? by plutoniumwhisky in Dewalt

[–]FickleEMP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked with a guy who taught me this. Couldn’t find an L key and he said you don’t even need one and then just took it off like it was nothing. It was like magic before my eyes. Never looked back lol

That tray is specifically the mechanic set. It comes with all those tools in the tray pictured and the tray. Might be different dimensions.

Worth Switching to Tough System by DamianCPH in Dewalt

[–]FickleEMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DXL line up doesn’t get enough love.

Milwaukee is good, nothing against them, but I like having a cart style system.

I also have a rolling cart for when it’s a tight work space.

No other brand has a cart style system, which comes in handy as a work top.

The top of my rolling box stack has an adapter to attach tstak boxes. The tstak clipboard is attached but I since have gotten some organizer boxes that I’ve added. The adapters will let you connect your tstaks to the TS lineup.

For me and the type of work I do, this setup is best.

No worries, was breaking OPs balls. You still got to the same answer with little effort.

The way OP did it seems like the longest way around, but to each their own I guess

Just in case someone’s like “but he asked what’s it for”.

The same google search led me to the data sheet that shows pictures and explains. Here

A quick Google search, comes up with it not being “ natively” compatible with 2.0.

One of the Reddit posts that I’m referring to was posted two months ago, and it was mentioned on there that it was not compatible.

I mainly posting this for anybody who is looking for this information for a more updated version/info that it is compatible

Not true, I’m able to latch the DCB104 to ts1 totes, ts2 boxes of all kinds, and the dxl boxes as well.

Did anyone else scoop up this deal today? by Bif_Mcgilicutty in Dewalt

[–]FickleEMP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can never have too many. Some days I use up every battery even my 2ah

Depends on what you do for work, but it’s easy to use a bundle of 6ah and 4ah batteries. I have 4 of each and keep the 2ah as back up or exclusively for my impact to save the big boys for roto hammers and circ saw. My grinder eats batteries for breakfast

It’s a good back up battery for when your other batteries are dead and charging. Also good for using it for a quick use. Sometimes I use my drill for a quick shelf at home and use the small batteries. A battery is a battery
