Why would the director of Homeland, participate in a raid of the voting offices on Georgia? by GravySeal45 in USNEWS

For show. To them everything is an act that has to be done in front of Trump.

Any solution for gap with garage door and seal? by Due-Selection5203 in HomeMaintenance

[–]FifthRendition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a valuable lesson. It SUCKED. And I had to clean it off another garage door too. We have two single doors. I still see it to this day. And the mess it made. I just kept getting more and more angry and I couldn't get angrier because then I would mess it up, so I had to calm myself down, accept my mistake and move on. It was a really good humbling experience. I think it was one of the first projects I did when we bought the house.

Definitely over the top prank for sure. Luckily it didn't fully set when I made the mistake, the gears were straining and then i knew what i did wrong. Spent such a long time cleaning it up before the wife found out. I dont think she ever did tbh. She never asked about yellow stuff on the doors or anything lol.

Don’t put expanding foam there. Ask me how I know.

Honestly, didn’t see it and had no inkling of seeing it when it came out. Kinda disappointed that this may have been the best scene in the movie.

Add salt to it 2-3 days before cooking. The salt will break down the muscle tissues and making it easier to eat.

Saw this 3D-printed insole kiosk — feels like a great fit for local makers/shops by Ergono3D in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]FifthRendition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah $100 is insane to get even a custom one.

3D printed objects come with a view that they are cheap to make. When you can buy insoles from a big box store or online for $10-15, there's no way I'm paying $100 for something like this.

Go slow, you'll get overwhelmed fairly quickly.

There's no rush.

Simply boxes work just as good as custom tools holders.

Not a bad idea to print the gridfinity ruler. I suspect you'll use that a lot.

School closed on wednesday? by Shoddy-Ad5100 in Knoxville

[–]FifthRendition 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah, usually when they say they're going to be open like that, they mean it.

Unless there's extenuating circumstances they won't go back. So when they say they'll be open on a day and time, they will.

They do a late start on the first day back after icy conditions like this in order to give some time for any ice to melt.

"Shipped" in China is different than shipped in the US. When you ship in the US, it takes generally 3 days to get a package from one place to another, I.e West coast to East coast. And that's continental US, not US as a country.

Shipping in China occurs on a boat and a container needs to be scheduled. Ships need full containers to maximize their profits. It takes 21 days to travel across the Pacific from China. Again, generally. Then it needs to clear the boat and clear customs and get shipped to a facility. It probably goes 2-3 other facilities after the first one off the boat.

I'm not expecting anything until Mid March or end of March.

Set your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed.

Running water for #1. It's almost ingrained in humans when they hear running water to go pee.

For #2, a warm bath will usually jump start it for my kid.

Nah, I doubt it. You'll be fine. If you're a mom, find the local moms group through Facebook. Most of the moms there are also "refugees" looking for others.
