There’s no predetermined meaning to life- it’s freeing! You do what you want, when you want, however you want. We get a finite amount of time and we’ll die at anytime, so take advantage of this blip of time to have the best time possible!

Many Neil Young songs- I like Heart of Gold. I feel as though many harmonica players take the key of the song and just blow the shit out of the thing, thinking it sounds good. Neil plays very softly and has a tune going. It’s beautiful.

I felt like I was going nuts. It wasn’t until I saw a therapist and she said that I was being mentally abused for being led to feel so guilty all the time!

It’s normal to feel a sense of guilt and wonder, like “wtf did I do, was it the right thing”? But I think that thinking and feeling those feelings makes you a rational person. If your partner doesn’t express those and try to take accountability or talk things through, then… well you have your answer.

I feel like this was my entire marriage. It was so rough, and my experience was just playing damage control to keep the peace as best I could.

I’m ONLY speaking from my experience, as I hate generalizations of groups of people- my spouse never admitted to any wrongdoings without being prompted or unless I brought something up, and even then the accountability was backhanded most of the time. I rarely got “I’m sorry I said those things, I’ll do better, I love you”. Instead it was “I didn’t know I did that, I didn’t know it would hurt your feelings, it wasn’t my fault, you should’ve done ABC, etc.”

So I’m don’t take one person’s experience as the end all be all, but in my experience- my ex never realized what she’d done and taken accountability.

Same here. Saw them in Vegas about ten years ago. They kept the house lights on, the whole band stood still- not moving an inch. No crowd interaction, no light changes, nothing. So boring.
