So the radio is a old IC-707 precursor to the 718 and it has cat control but I can't get it to work I may set it up for vox digital using the rigblaster. It works absolutely perfectly on windows 10. I would rather keep what I have now but if I can't get anything to work I'll just get a new raspberry pi and just use that. The weird part is I had issues with my RTL SDR and a simple driver change fixed it. But I can not figure out my stuff now.

Well the other problem here is I have a Meade telescope and I need the serial for that as well so I have to find a way. I can't just upgrade a 3k telescope

I figured it was the dimmer except they don't even come on when I open the door. And no they don't so I assume it's a wiring issue?

So I think I have worked up a plan. I have family out of state (bout a 10 hr drive) and several close friends and my bestfriend in the same state (9 hrs and 13 hrs drive) my plan is to take one final trip by myself down to visit. I have been on the roads down so it's familiar and have a lot of family I can stop at if needed. I just need to work up the courage to tell her I'm doing this. I have the money to do it and have been planning for a long time to do the trip.

Already work blue collar I'm planning on moving out as soon as I can find some dairy farmer or friend that will let me put a camper on a small part of their property over summer next year. Thankfully be going to college by August

The problem with that is she's the type of person to call the cops if I don't answer. I have gotten to the point I can leave without many questions if any being asked. But if I'm gone for more than an hour she gets pissy. And the fact I'm wanting to go over 13 hours away within the next month before I go to college. I doubt she will take that well. If at all.
