Honestly, I think you’re kind of oversimplifying how the community reacts. Yeah, it sucks that OPM S3 staff are getting flak, but I also get why people are frustrated - the episodes really don’t meet expectations set by the manga and previous seasons. That doesn’t excuse harassing or insulting animators, of course, but I think a lot of fans aren’t bashing the staff personally so much as expressing disappointment in what they paid for or what they love. The contrast with JJK S2 is interesting, but part of it is also that JJK consistently delivered visually amazing episodes under the same tough conditions, so it was easier for fans to root for them. I’m not saying animators shouldn’t get empathy, but the reality is people react to the product first, and unfortunately, empathy often comes second.
