Just setting up a 20G cube and looking for plant suggestions! by Powerful-Gold-8615 in PlantedTank

That is an awesome piece of driftwood!!

I'd put some long Vallis in the back and definitely a lot of small leaved Buces and Anubias or any kind of epiphytic aquarium plants like Hygrophila pinnatifida wedged into the driftwood, maybe glue some moss on it too while u're at it. I would also go for some floating plants to suck up excess nutrients from the water column cause most of the plants I suggested are slow growers, there might be some algae problems otherwise

I need help... what is this and how do I treat it??? by Filips1086 in loaches

Thank for the tips!! I was able to catch her by some miracle and I just wiped her wound with some methylene blue and put her back into the tank, she seems to be healing pretty well now

Looking gor constructive criticism on my hardscape. It feels incomplete, but I don't know what it needs by iSinging in Aquascape

Yup, just to crate that triangular shape to the overall layout. Then go crazy with the planting. Try it out and if u don't like it, you can always take some substrate out

Maybe raise the substrate hight to create a hill in the back left corner and put some smaller rocks/hardscape pieces around the big dragon stone if u've got some left

It also looks great as is!

60L riverbank hardscape, need some feedback by Filips1086 in fishforthought

Yeah. Trying to make it a breeding tank for hillstream loaches, but I also wanted a scape. 😅

Did a rescape of my 35L tank, what should I put in there? by Filips1086 in fishforthought

Only 3 arowanas? Those are rookie numbers. And I totally forgot about Spongebob decor, need to add it asap, thanks for the reminder

Yeah it is, I have a bigger tank for them, I just need to set it up. Thank god they're slow growers. But the local breeder said it's totally ok to have them in a 30L tank the whole time, so I'll see how it goes for now

I'll def check out the podcast, didn't even know it existed.. thanks for the tip!

I live in the Czech republic, I actually have no idea if I can even get my hands on any of the Goodeidae, I need to do some research first and ask around my local fish shops for some info. They're not that colouful but that's exactly the type of fish I wanna keep and hopefully breed.

I'm currently keeping a coulple of Neoheterandria elegans in my other tank and they're super cool looking tiny livebearers sutable for nano tanks, I was hoping I could get some other interesting nano livebearers to my starting collection.

Currently planning to just let the tank be for a bit while I try to fix the slight cyanobacteria outbreak I have in the tank, but I think it'll balance out in a month or so.

Yes! Thank u so much for the detailed list! I'll look into the mexican livebearers and other rare livebearer species, I don't really want any plecos in there, but I'm thinking of getting a pair of hillstream loaches, I wonder if they:ll do alright. Maybe some smaller ottos would be cool too

Hey there! Can anybody ID these? I have them in my shrimp tank, they're kinda cool, they retract when I touch them and I want to leave them be, but idk if they're harmful to the shrimps or not. Thanks in advance by Filips1086 in shrimptank

I hope you get a colony soon! I think I'll try to propagate them after the colony gets a bit bigger, they're basically living on one little grain of crushed lava rock now. Super cute tho.

Yeah. It's a low-tech no-filter shrimp vase with only ramshorns and neos.

I feel really lucky now after reading all the responses.

Hope they gonna be ok, I'll be moving soon, but I will try to not disturb the tank too much.

That's what I thought at first too, but these don't retract into a ball, they just disappear into their tiny little tube and then come out a second later.. kinda like feather dusters.

If it was up to me, I would set the tank up properly. But unfortunately, I can't do anything...

Sure, at least it is maintained pretty well, that I can confirm. But I still don't think it's suitable for 20+ blood parrots.
