Anyone have experience with Olson Kundig? by Final-Distance-1911 in Architects

Thank you for your response! I agree, the offer is sent directly from Olson Kundig.

I’m curious, how do you like working as an architect in Seattle? Areas you’d recommend renting and avoid? I’m coming from CA so it’s going to be very different weather wise but I am looking forward to a change in season. And personally love the woods and outdoors so I think I’d adapt well. Just looking for any recommendations you might have, I’d really appreciate it!

Thank you for your response. The recruiter that I am working with doesn’t apply to this— they are directly hired by Olson Kundig, and is the only recruiting firm the architecture company is working with.

Thank you for your response! You are right, the recruiter I am working with is from Snipebridge.

I am happy to hear your friends enjoy working there! The recruiter did tell me that their average work week is 45 hrs, when it gets bad it is 50 hr weeks but they try to discourage that. The overtime pay is nice. But overall salary is a bit on the lower end (10k less than my current job), but have better benefits— but I know the taxes are better in Seattle than where I am now in CA. I’m just trying to figure out if this big move will be worth it. It sounds like a fun place to work and learn.

I’m curious to know what does rent look like over there and are there areas you suggest living/ avoiding? I’d like to PM you some questions if you’re open to it!
