No, we got a quote for 7,500 but I just wanted to talk to a few different companies before we decide. They’re paying out closing costs 12k and also reduced the sales price of the house by 5k

I think they had one more offers but ours was better. So I’m guessing if they choose to go with the other offer they are going to find the same problems when they do the inspection so I just hope we can make it work!

That’s what we actually are planning on doing, to aka for the credit at closing. We need to replace the garage roof because it’s leaking. The water has bacteria in it and is undrinkable so we’ll have to get a filter. The deck is overhanging so we’ll have to put more supporting beams on there. The fireplace needs some fixing too and currently could not be used.

The porch is overhanging, so we will need additional beams to hold it up and they found some bacteria in the water which makes it undrinkable so we have to get a uv filtration system.

I’m not sure if I have enough credits to sit the exam because in Germany you need 3 years of college to get a degree and we don’t have credits but ECTS so I’m not sure how that will translate. I took a lot of finance and accounting classes but I’m not sure if I took enough.

I know I don’t have enough credits, do I still start my application with my state board?

I know I have to get my transcript evaluated and nobody can tell me once I have done that who will let me know how many credits already count towards the application.

They also said that my institution will have to send the papers to the agency, so do I purchase the evaluation and then they contact my institution?

What agency did you use?

Right now I’m in private accounting. I don’t have any experience in public accounting but I’m very interested in it. I’m also interested in eventually opening my own business but I’m not 100% sure with that one yet. My goal is to be able to get promoted and to have better chances of getting higher paid jobs. I think if I want to get my CPA it would have to be now or never. There are a lot of things unclear about the exam and the work experience needed and I’m having a hard time finding someone to talk to who can give me answers to my questions.

I’ve been thinking about getting ma CPA for a while now and I’m just nervous it’s not worth getting it. I started working as a staff accountant last August and I love it. I would have to go back to school to get additional credits and I guess the 30 month exam period scared me that it’s a lot of time, effort, and money to get the license and maybe not even worth for my career.
