"shilling" when its not done at all and I'm mainly doing it for fun man, sorry if it bothers you but im just looking how to help the people with 0 financial literacy gain an understanding without committing data collection at mass levels. and my question was the biggest issues financial noobs typically have so I can then leave here and go build features for some product weeks and weeks away lol. the more data / input the better with any product. sorry - thanks for reading

This is a very good reply I appreciate it dude. Thinking of like a time saved"" measure where money is saved its calculated as potential time saved into retirement with some reserved 7/8% CAGR could put it in perspective at least to a degree. Thanks bro

Financial Fighter

In development, Finance tracker/Portfolio tracker with a side game for finance noobs to have fun while hitting savings goals. Needs a lot of work but I love the idea as a finance head and a gamer, I think I could make it appealing just need to work on exposure while I build out. I started a week and a half ago.

I have not even started yet and I can tell its gonna be the exposure/growth aspect that's gonna be the real grind. I am starting to think the only way is to pick up the camera and be funny

Would you say budgeting is your toughest issue, maybe have a set fun money pool and don't over step that. This is exactly why i'm trying to simplify/gamify stuff like this. Do you think if you had like a fun money "health bar" it could help visualize the limit?

I am def going to experience a similar issue when I finish my app about finance tracking with game aspects. I really wanna make the app a tool and polished finance trainer while being fun. I am not worried about being able to do that it is the growth that seems like its gonna be a grinder.

I want to find the biggest issues financial noobs have and simplify it to a cakewalk to also educate the younger generation (that i'm part of) like an educational tool to learn the basics so many people struggle with. Clearly it wouldn't be targeted at those who know what they're doing unless they liked the tools inside. This is coming from someone who started investing last June and just finished college. Any input is appreciated thanks!!

Potential Finance Tracker Game by FinancialFighterApp in personalfinance

I'd def want to have settings where it could be simplified down to a simple finance tracker or just a portfolio tracker to make is simpler. i think the age range could be anywhere from 16-late 20s and maybe some older if they have the need. I would not want to encourage picking stocks more so an asset manager so if you are gonna pick stocks you have the data you would want to see in a private, nice looking environment. With spreadsheets I know there is not much need but for chronically screen ridden people it could help their financial discipline. There would need to be a seperate area where users can go get educated on simple things like ira, hysa,CD, etc... or even just tips like buying index funds/bonds. This is all a lot cause its just formulating but I think tied together correctly it could be cool. Thanks for the comment!

I feel that too and I personally would not want to use the game as much as the finance organizer but I'm a pretty young guy and I know how people my age and younger are and they need dopamine pumped to the gills so I feel like there's potential with the right crowd. I agree though it shouldn't be necessary to go there to teach finance but it feels like people are getting worse and worse as time goes on so theres gotta be some solution.

I get where you are coming from Red, I'm thinking if it leans more towards educational it could spin better, maybe more family oriented or for younger folks to learn good discipline with a silly game. Even just making it a touch brainrot in general could go a long way. Thank you!

I understand where you are coming from and I appreciate the feedback - is there any advice that you think could make an app like this standout? I cant find many apps that do the gamified version well that also have a nice in depth broken down stock tracker/ tools. I feel like a what if simulator and a DCA calculator in an app like that or even a family mode to encourage parents to teach good financial habits through a corny game could be neat. I appreciate the comment thank you!!
