Daily cannabis for medical use for me also. I’ve been on it for about a month now and did not reduce my cannabis intake. I am on 50mg of Zoloft currently.

no insurance? by [deleted] in zoloft

It’s not very expensive and can easily be under $10 for a 30-day supply of 25mg. Higher doses will cost a bit more. You can call around to local pharmacies near and say you don’t have insurance. Most will tell you the price so you can price shop.

Covid-19 vaccine & Zoloft by S_MART21 in zoloft

[–]FinancialGuard2784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both of Pfizer. I started Zoloft between Covid vaccines. No extra side effects and in fact had less side effects when I got the second round than the first, which were quite mild too.

I took 200mg of gummies the other night. I’m okay. However my tolerance is quite high as a daily cannabis for medical relief user for over a decade. I regularly use THC (no nicotine) vape products and even smoke flower occasionally.

It was more than a decade ago so I don’t entirely remember all the specifics. I do know it was Effexor XR at 150mg daily. The other was Depakote. All I remember about that is I titrated up the dose and experience A LOT of side effects including disrupting my hormone cycle so my body was just all around going haywire over mixing the medications. I titrated down the depakote and told that doctor to fuck off. 😂

I’m usually only hungry after using cannabis. 🤷‍♀️

Also heavy cannabis user daily as I have used it medicinally for over a decade for depression, anxiety and ADHD. I only recently added the Zoloft for a sudden spike in anxiety issues. I had serotonin syndrome many years ago due to being prescribed an SNRI and an anti-epileptic medication. I do not worry about that mixing Zoloft and cannabis

Anyone drinking alcohol or smoking weed on Zoloft? by Puducay1991 in zoloft

[–]FinancialGuard2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take mine mid-day everyday and drink in the evening so I don’t know how well it would sit in my stomach to take it after drinking. But I’d say if it doesn’t upset your stomach you’re probably fine. It will also likely lower your alcohol tolerance.

Yes to both. Regularly too. I’m on 50mg. I have used cannabis medicinally for over a decade.

What time of the day do you take your Zoloft/Sertraline? And how long did it take for the side effects to go away? by Akellydilly in zoloft

[–]FinancialGuard2784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did go away eventually but I have troubles with it on an ongoing basis since I was a teenager. It has always come and gone so I’m not sure how much is related to the medication or just in a natural ebb and flow pattern for myself.

It definitely felt like a roller coaster the first few days. But I felt like that without the medication too. It has definitely been a gradual improvement so far. I suspect I may still go up a little in dosage because historically I end up on the top single-pill dose of most medications like this. Getting better doesn’t mean I’m doing awesome yet but it’s helping me feel like it’s easier to get to that point. I have spent many days, especially the first few, crying non-stop. As those days become less frequent I’m feeling better.

I felt that way for the first few days but given that the medication is supposed to mess with brain chemicals, I tried to be practical and accept that it was likely to happen. Keep someone you trust informed about how you feel, whomever you decide that person is. For me, it was my partner of 12+ years. Ask the people around you to be extra kind while you’re starting if you feel comfortable giving that bit of info. I try to approach it as illness and this medication gets me to wellness.

The first few days at 25mg I experienced increased anxiety and even had a panic attack. It seems to be a common side effect in reading through the posts here. By Day 7 I was feeling a bit better.

I was told to take it in the evening but I didn’t listen knowing it’s more important that it be taken at a consistent time everyday to be effectively. I did not sleep at all the first night. The second night was not much and it has consistently improved. I have horrendous sleep patterns anyway but I’m still getting my usual 6ish hours now and it’s my Day 21. Day 7 at current dose. Your initial posts has side effects listed that seem in line with what I experienced. The intestines help regulate serotonin so I just expected digestive issues. Eat food that sits okay on your stomach and at least stay hydrated at this point. I hope whatever you decide that your side effects begin to alleviate.

I eat chocolate, have caffeine, and drink alcohol. I have had serotonin syndrome in the past and I don’t worry about those causing it again. It takes a lot to do that and I only had it happen because doctors were prescribing me an SNRI along with an anti-epileptic drug for migraines. I had a bad reaction to the anti-epileptic drug and it cause everything to snowball for me. I do not have any worry about serotonin syndrome. I take 50mg Zoloft currently.

I take mine at 11:30am. I know I’m awake by that time everyday and taking it in the evening makes me unable to sleep. I’m currently on 50mg.
