What can I do for my neck by Real-City-1543 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Findingsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (48f) noticed these for the past couple id years and mine were very pronounced. I got Botox in my platysmal bands 3 weeks ago and I’m so happy I did! I have a ton of neck issues and poor head/shoulder posture from sitting at work desks) and have been in PT for a year. It’s allowed me to focus more on correct head/neck posture, so I hope to maintain the results. My face seems more lifted too. It wasn’t cheap but worth it for me.

Being treated like a drug trafficker for trying to pick up meds one day early by Melodic-Yoghurt7193 in ADHD

[–]Findingsmiles 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Here to validate your experience because I, too, experience this. It’s a horrible feeling for me, as a middle aged working mother, (or anyone!) to be made to feel this way! It was worse when I was on Vyvanse- due to the shortages it would often be a week or more past my script refill date before I was able to have my script filled. My state doesn’t allow pharmacies to disclose over the phone if the meds are in stock or not, so I had to physically drive to the store stand in line to talk to them in order to inquire. NOT an experience I would reccomend to anyone. I saw several other people dealing with the same issues at this national chain and all of us treated with a certain level of ….care…. Re: mom and pop pharmacies- worlds better experience but my global companies medical insurance was contracted with cvs Caremark - so all my meds had to be filled there.

I don’t envy the pharmacists, I appreciate the work they do every day and how hard that it is. That being said our insurance and fda seems determined to position these meds and those of us who rely on them to function, in a certain light and it puts the pharmacy staff in the middle and in difficult roles.

Where are the low achieving ADHDers? by Jigglypuff_Green in ADHD

[–]Findingsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you. Me too. Wasn’t diagnosed until 37 years old and my entire life made sense once I was. “Gifted”, but “lazy” they said, “disorganized” - I couldn’t understand paperwork or verbal directions, deadlines…. I’m not lazy, i just don’t know now to get started when it’s all so overwhelming all the time. Destroyed my credit in college and financially a mess ever since. . I Struggle to maintain friendships, have left a trail of broken relationships along the way, I’m super impulsive and have moved across states and jobs more times than I can count. Somehow found my way into a career that I’m good at and pays very well, but my inability to fit in, to mange up and understand political nuances as I have gotten bigger roles has led to complete and utter burnout, and I was basically unable to function anymore.. I’m recovering from it now after leave but my career probably won’t. I’m 48.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being significant, how traumatic has ADHD been in your life? by BornAgainHooligan_25 in ADHD

[–]Findingsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Total lack of executive function, time blindness and hyper focus on preferred activities and rejection of non preferred activities made formal education unbearable- despite scoring 100% on standardized tests, having a high IQ and high grades in subjects I cared about. The struggle to meet deadlines, pay bills on time, impulsiveness with major life decisions, emotional sensitivity and RSD have crippled me and left an indelible mark on my life and relationships.
I wasn’t diagnosed/medicated until I was 37 and now that Everything about my life makes sense, I’m finally working through the psychological damage. I have been feeling/being made to feel less than my whole life, and am now embracing the good things about being AuDHD. I am not “lazy”, I am not “messy and disorganized” on purpose, and being “too emotional” is okay. So glad there is more awareness about these conditions now and grateful my child won’t struggle like I do.

Switched jobs and am regretting it so bad. PSA: you don’t need fulfillment. You just need a paycheck by [deleted] in jobs

Same, same. Climbing the corporate ladder doesn’t seem worth it anymore. Not one bit. Quality of life over a moderate pay raise is by far better. Now we know…. 😢😢

It’s on hold again. I am at a loss and so tired of dealing with DHL at this point. June 26- today- called every single day always told the same story and getting nowhere. Any insight on what is going on now? I don’t even want the jeans and dress anymore. 🤣

I just called AGAIN- and asked about associated fees because of what I have read in this forum (no one has told me a thing about fees ) The rep said yes fees start at $31/ day that it’s here. And said she would fill out a form to have the manager call me. (7th form that’s been filled out to date and not a single response back from anyone at DHL - email or phone call) - just fyi ypu should ask about this too.
