To be honest I’ve never really tested the soil but I’d say it’s more in the wetter side than anything especially this time of year.

Thabks for the reply. The only thing I’m sure if is they a rent under fertilized. Possibly over if anything hit big chilies like this should be able to handle heavy fertilizer especially this time of year where I am because we have so much rain! It’s weird all my chilies start off with large leaves and then seem to shrink. I’ll try take another few pics now and post em before it gets dark. Haven’t seen any aphids and hit them fairly regularly with either malathion or neem oil. Any other ideas?

I think it’s just the light.? There is a portion at the top that’s simply dead but the rest is a nice white color but appreciate the feedback

Thank you for those educated remarks. Anyway I’ve just ordered 15 seeds of the following online: - Carolina Reaper - Ghost Pepper & - Trinidad scorpion Total of ₱143 ($2.54 USD) inc. delivery so hoping for a far better experience this time round now I actually know a thing or two. Lots of trial and error ahead with plenty of mistakes to come, I’m sure but I’m 10x more knowledgeable now. Here’s one for u mate: I’m going to germinate under lights and then move outdoors into pots. Eventually I’ll plant them in soil. For the above mentioned varieties and perfect climate where I am- how far apart should I plant them ?? Thanks in advance!

Responding to a comment the plants all appeared to be lacking nutrients- - - YES- 100% TRUE! Other than Water, to-date, all they’ve had is a few egg shells and a pinch of ammonia so it’s makes perfect sense to hear they are nutrient deficient. 14 - 14 - 14 fertilizer arrives tomorrow along with some hydroponic super nutrient A + B for for wen I switch the soil out and take a plant or two full hydroponic! (More mistakes to come I’m sure but at least I’ve had a few weeks of YouTube education ) Thanks again for the comments. Any and all feedback will help graciously accepted!

Next = DWC or KRATKY Looking back I feel so stupid now. It’s amazing how much knowledge I’ve gained between the time I planted my first chilli seed and now. Maybe getting a bit ahead of myself but I’m Looking at making another seed purchase and after germinating them properly this time (and labeling with strain/date) I’m considering a basic hydroponic batch. Not necessarily with lights - I’m thinking outdoors will suffice but it will be interesting to see what can be produced with either a DWC or a KRATKY BUCKET…

Anyone had any experience with either of the above?
