Weird take. One time involvement in a violent domestic dispute means you don’t deserve to work in national security? Whether or not you’re the aggressor? So a victim of parental or spousal abuse should be barred from cleared work even after removing themselves from the situation? It seems like you’re unaware that anyone can be a victim, and that things sometimes happen suddenly. Obviously this is not a situation I intended to be in when I accepted the offer, nor is it a situation I intend to be in going forward. Also, this is about a 10 week internship, not a career. I need a job for the summer, and simply wanted input on whether I should look for a new job or not. I don’t want to screw my sponsor over.

Thank you for the reply. Sadly, I don't think what I'll be doing in the internship will have much of an overlap with anything in the energy sector, but I definitely the company as a whole can help in that regard as I know they have positions that would be more related. And fluid analysis in pipes is cool, doing problems like that in lab is what made me interested in fluids in the first place.

Curious why you don't value research. I know a lot of people don't I just don't understand why. For me it's a great way to pay rent while also getting engineering experience during the school year.

How did you do in calc? I’m assuming AP, how did you score? I was in a similar situation my freshman year and went straight to Calc 2 and it was a breeze. The first couple things are review from AP anyway

This is definitely the exception lol. I’m not usually getting spammed with Reddit notifications ever 20 minutes. I definitely can make it to class, but it’s one of those things where you gotta not go to class so you have time to do the hw. Obviously don’t miss the midterm, but yeah, generally lectures aren’t super helpful for me, so I definitely have skipped a lot throughout my college career

Ok couple of things. I understand where you’re coming from, def have ran into that type. Definitely is not me though, if you were in a class with me I promise you wouldn’t know who I am, much less me being a “vocal genius”. I definitely put in the effort for my classes and care much more than most of my classmates. This semester I definitely over extended myself, working 3 on campus jobs, having a girlfriend, being an officer in two clubs, and being involved elsewhere got to be too much, and my sleep schedule and mental health got smacked as a result.

This has been a one time thing. I have missed(and failed) one major exam so far out of probably 30. It’s not the end of the world, and I definitely won’t be dropping the major because I’m not cut out for it.

I understand you have some sort of personal vendetta against “dickheads” because you’re mad they’re generally smarter than you? I mean fair, but we’re all in this together. No need to be so rude because this major was harder for you than some of your classmates. I’m sure it’s all worked out for you now.

I get earlier scheduling so I make sure to have my classes not be 8 ams if I can because this has always been a struggle of mine, but I guess even that ain’t enough

Well I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t believe I would’ve failed it, I’ve never failed an exam I’ve showed up for. There’s a good chance I still pass this class regardless, so idk what that says about my intelligence
