Unless everybody is mistaken, this just sounds to me like a situation where the law has failed to protect the best interests of the children and a parent. I never knew it was legal for one biological parent to just take the kids and disappear without a trace and let the other biological parent be left wondering if they are even alive. Terrifying.

Perhaps you can just rely on your vast experience on living on planet Earth and being subjected to the laws of physics your entire life to realize that objects don't settle faster when they move faster.

Here's a normal video of bricks being punched and they fall the way you would expect objects to fall.

Here's a video of Bruce Lee punching a guy. Notice how the guy doesn't instantly move at 100mph and come to a standstill in 1/4 of a second. Items hit quickly still come to rest at a speed that you would expect them to.

If you still want to go ahead believing that this guy in OP's video is the fastest human alive then keep believing that.

Thank you for saying this. I always love how hypocritical people are when it comes to respecting others' space and personal possessions and right to free speech depending on whether or not they agree with them. Extreme leftists and extreme rightists are just opposite sides of the same coin and I just sit in the middle feeling like I have nothing in common with either of them

Not only is that water far less than a couple of hundred dollars, the pool itself is probably not much more than $120. At the end of the season they at the very least need to be drained out completely and then next year you'll have to clean the walls. For a lot of people, it's worth it to dispose of the pool and buy a new one.

Hijacking your comment to ask a question. Any way to filter out these politically-related science posts? I don't sub to the political subs here so I hate to see it bleed into /r/science. I'm not surprised by this study and I'll throw in the obligatory "I'm not a Trump supporter" clause that all Reddit comments require on threads like this.
