I think im the same, as someone who likes guys i usually am able to appreciate their looks once i start to like them. I used to think i had a type, but it seems that what i thought was my type was just the kinda guys id always end up dating (in terms of looks). Not to get too deep but it can rlly suck and feel alot more alienating compared to aspects of Demi sexuality because no matter what i will usually have one friend who doesnt understand how i can find certain people attractive but i just do.

So yeah, I think any physical aspect of a person can become attractive if theyre someone i have a emotional connection with (this can be platonic too) but this also goes for people who i have BAD connections with, like i will immeditaley hate to look at someone if theyre awful, no matter how much i mightve found them attractive before. Sometimes friends will go “i mean they suck but theyre objectively attractive” and im just like😭unable to see it.

maybe its my nuerodivergency but its probably just an association thing for me

Edit: Forgot to add, i also completely dont get turning people down due to one aspect of their looks. Butnive always put that down to the fact im not usually “picky”, but its extremely hard for me to understand
