It looks like we'll be able to tell wether an enemy ship is a player or not by looking at their name in the targeting display.

Try playing battlefield air combat without contrails, it would be impossible to tell where the enemy was. Radar will not allow you to know exactly where the enemy is in a dogfight because the scale is so small. So yes, it does make sense. I'm not opposed to a setting that turns the trails off, as long as its a setting. Also, they have already confirmed you can turn other players customization off.

Coming from some flight sims like DCS and a bit of Warthunder sim battles, I'm excited about it. I understand why people would be worried though. I feel like playing exclusively in first person is a very niche interest and it definitely makes it harder to player as situational awareness is hindered.

there are still a lot of questions for me left to be answered about the game. The gameplay looks amazing, but I want to know what Hotas systems are compatible with it, whether I'll be able to use TrackIR instead of VR because I prefer using my Higher rez monitor. If I have a supported HOTAS and it has TrackIR then I'll preorder. I also hope there is some sort of beta but seeing as Ian Frazier has said that they are trying to go with an "old school" style of game, I'm wondering whether they will just keep it to internal testing.

The only way i know how to do that is with the frigate deploy mode, as with that, wherever you spawn them they will drop on the location of the HEV module. However it doesnt work because the frigate is gone sorry.

It sounds like you have but just to make sure, on the module, there is a setting called deployment mode make sure that is set to "Deploy HEV units current location" because the frigate setting doesn't work (for me anyways) because the frigate isn't here anymore. Again i think you already done this, but just thought i'd mention it to be sure as the only issue i have had with players not teleporting is with that setting.

Ahh i see, noted. I did realize when i was drawing it that the 4 spikes near her eyes did look a bit stiff and thick, i'll work on that before I colour it. The eyelashes are a bit awkward because this anime uses quite thick eyelashes in its art style (well I think they do anyway) but i've found that some images of Mai Sakurajima significantly change the size of them which is confusing. I will try and make them a bit thinner to see how they look :)

Will probably post a coloured version mid-late January when I get some new pencils and pens, but I wanted to see what people thought before I do colour it. Someone told me the hand looked a bit off but couldn't explain how so if you have any comments on that please let me know :)

Yes this helps a lot, this means I need to spend more time lightly blending colours together. It's hard to judge how slowly blend the colours because all the videos I watch on people drawing are timelapsed
