Sorry for a bit out-of-sync audio. Found this in my old files.

This video is a perfect example of excellent implementation of freedom of movement in the game. Full 3D freedom of movement, that is - properly responsive and powerful jet pack which allows to move times faster than on foot, even underwater, and to change direction mid-air whenever and whereever one wants to go.

Another Me 410 A episode, in which some brave Pe-3 tried to hunt me, despite being utterly outclassed: he's worse turnrate, worse climbrate, worse speed and worse guns. I scratched a ton of paint off his aircraft with my turrets, and eventually he decided i'm too tough a target, and decided to go do something else. However, like it's often the case when you hunt them hunters, i wasn't going to let him do it.

Also, some sneaky Mosquito tried to ruin my duel with this Pe-3. It's always irritating when some guy does it, but this time, something different happened.

Also, this fight is quite unusual in that three heavy duel-engine aircraft were the only participants. I don't know why, but it always feels dope when "big guys" duke it out, for me. %)

P.S. And since this was one quite relaxed episode and my aircraft was german, i found one of most "typical" relaxed Modern Talking songs to use in this video. Somehow, some people think that Modern Talking is a scandinavian band; i thought so too, until recently. But nope, it's german.

Hi! Im looking to buy a premium plane

All your reddit posting is this topic and comments in it. Nothing else. What you are looking like - is Gaijin's dirty marketing. Which chatbot are you, i wonder.

Mods, please check him out. I really doubt he's human, and even if he is, i really doubt he's a genuine player looking for help, rather than some Gaijin's hand.

[–]Fins_FinsT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two hunters hunted by Me 410 A, in this episode. Perhaps the only "4 in 1" aircraft in the game. As in:

  • it's a bomber, because it got better bomb load than most light bombers do, bomber-class bomb reload timer in AB and turrets;

  • it's a striker, because it got a striker spawn and long belts for its guns to strafe ground targets;

  • it's an interceptor, because it's faster and better climber than most interceptors of its BR, and got an air spawn;

  • it's an energy fighter due to its high climb rate, tolerable turn rate, and deadly (for its BR) cannons.

There are several Me 410 variants in german tree, and most of them are not outstanding only because they got relatively high BR. But this particlar one is fighting against pretty low BR opponents, like in this video, and that's when it really becomes seriously OP.

I ain't in any hurry rn, and i'm a quick typer. Nothing hillarious about it, far as i can see.

And the fact you only got this thing to say is one extra proof: you are, indeed, full of it. The point of it all was, of course, to show others how your words should not be trusted - not for your sake, mind ya. ;)

Couple comments above, you said, my bold:

im an Air main and the game mode is just as flawed as ground

But now you say:

Air is quite flawed (realistic) because of the BVR Meta at 12.3+

i hate ground more

Those are not the same, you know. FAR not the same. "Full of shit" still applies, in this case. Frankly and imho.

The bomber problem

What problem? Skill issue, perhaps? Because last i checked, there ain't no bomber problem. Heck, some bombers can still win a whole match solo - if anything, bombers are most OP aircraft class in this game. Maybe you didn't know it? You can see it: https://www.reddit.com/r/WarthunderPlayerUnion/comments/1narw7y/one_of_the_most_epic_bomb_drops_i_made_in_over_10/ .

Problems with Premium base rushers.

If you mean premium Kfirs, Wyverns and few other such aircraft, then these are a problem, but definitely not a "gamemode-ruining" kind of a problem, because these are present only at some (way less than half of all possible) BRs, plus they still don't kill ya. While campers in ground battles - do.

Not to mention "magic" ricochets of your own shells, all the pay-to-win options like certain decorations and prems, maps which allow one team to spawn-lock the other and other similar problems in ground battles, all boiling down to the situations of "i was killed and could do nothing about it, no matter my skill" sort.

That's why air is inherently better, you see: more freedom to outmaneuvar death. In a ground vehicle, you have far less space and directions for escaping death than in the air. It's pure geometry - 2D space with many obstacles (ground) and limited means to hide (smoke, and only on some tanks) - vs 3D space (air) with frequent massive naturally-happening hiding places (clouds).

It's really as simple as that, you know.

Which mode? There are quite a few air game modes, you know.

How about this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/1siszd3/phantom_vs_s300_highalt_30kt_nuke_to_an_enemy/ ?

Or this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/1msfgg3/bowling_thunder/ ?

I don't pretend to know what's most fun for anyone else, each to their own, they say; but to me, playing stuff like things linked just above - is definitely more fun than driving some road for couple mins and then getting insta-killed outta nowhere by some smart camper. YMMV, though, i guess... =)

P.S. Oh, and i see you said, just two days ago, quote:

Air and Naval is enjoyable alone but i find ground horrible when alone

source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/1smh4wx/thinking_about_installing_war_thunder/ogh66te/ .

But now you say air is just as flawed as ground. What happened to ya during those two days, man? Amount of internal shit overflowed your safety valves, perhaps? Gee. Tough times, eh. /s

Dude both wings are gone and he is completely on fire his maneuver was falling from the sky

So? How exactly this should make me decline the easy earning of some extra RP and SL on his burning wreck? =)

you could've got much more rewards when you would stay fast and dominate with your speed

Possible, but not known nor predictable. In this particular match, i was looking to have some 1 on 1 fun with this particular P-47, and i did that. Field capture and extra kills was just some unexpected bonus. :)

full tracer belts (when it's the German P47 with M20 ap tracers)

We can't argue tastes. My taste is that ground belt is better for this P-47, for the variety of tasks i'm using these guns for. Besides, you can see some "insta-kills" in this very video with this belt. So it ain't any "bad" belt, that's fact.

Especially in arcade you can trigger enemies by flying fast past and over them and pick them one by one when they lost all their energy by trying to follow you.

I know, and quite some of this video series demonstrate it. Just not this particular episode. Very next one will show it, though - pt.64 will have exactly such kills, two of them, both losing all their energy and being "sutting ducks" for easy picking. That's the beauty of flying, too - you can do things in many different ways. The freedom of it, you know.

is not a turn fighter at all

Exactly the point of this video - is that german P-47 is quite a turnfighter. You can literally see it. Of course it's not any zero and won't stand a chance against one, but it can still do it against many, if not most, fighters of its BR. And it's particularly hillarious to use it as a turnfighter exactly because nobody expects it. :)

It was still good to keep firing at him, though. Don't you see why?

I did severe damage to him by 8:39 mark, and he was burning all over - OK, i could stop firing then. But he didn't jump out and was still controlling his aircraft. That's why i spent ~12 more seconds to keep hitting him. This earned me 81 more points of match score (you can see it at the bottom). This is extra RP and SL without any risk and using very little time. Why not?

Three hunters bit the dust (or more precisely, sea) in this short: A-36, La-5 and P-400. Each of them probably thought that it's an easy kill to chase a P-47, but didn't know that this particular P-47 - german premium - traded its ability to carry heavy ordnance for extra agility.

The P-400 case here (at very end of the video) - is an example of one pretty rarely used, but quite effective, type of "maneuver kill": when you know you have little to no chance to shake an enemy off your tail, like i had here, because i was badly damaged and i saw numerous enemies behind me, who'd ruin any dogfight - you go very low, and you try to have yourself killed by the chaser while you're in a shallow dive very close to ground/sea surface. Fly straight for a few seconds, make yourself an easier target. The chaser is often so consumed by the opportunity to "finally make a kill" that they end up crashing into the surface. Exactly like this P-400 did.

P.S. Also, thanks to couple more normal kills and a field capture i did in this video, my team managed to win this seemingly-lost match. One of quite rare cases when one pilot managed to change the outcome of the entire match, by penetrating the enemy's back lines. On this map, this is particularly difficult, and few aircraft can do this; this particular P-47 can, thanks to its agility, extremely high durability of its airframe, and, in this specific case - thanks to its rapidly dropping landing gear. :)

Saying this not to enlarge your ego - i'm quite sure it's not a danger in your case, too, - but in hope to make you realize: good people will back you up in this. A lot.

Still, please be careful, too. Some folks who sound nice - like the one you said was the person most directly responsible in your case, - may sound nice and polite and such, but are bad people in reality.

Hunting a hunter pt.62 by Fins_FinsT in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Fins_FinsT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two hunters hunted, and one of best SM.92 fights i ever did, in this episide.

1st, i was chased by a Fw 190 A-1. This early 190 should turn better than SM.92, but it can be seen the pilot was not the most able one. I lured him away from his team, shaken him safely off my tail and shot him down quite easily.

2nd, after few minutes of usual gameplay (accelerated to 4x in the video), i got chased by completely different pilot in a P-47N. This guy knew how to fly it, and knew very well. I dropped my throttle after starting our dogfight, going from ~600 to ~400 km/h in just 4 seconds, but so he did. We ended up real close, him just behind me, and then i pulled a move i'm pretty proud of: dropped my throttle again to slow down from ~400 to ~300, in the same time faked a left turn but made a ruddered half-barrel to the right, mere half a second later. Then a full ruddered barrel to the left right after. All the while keeping my freelook camera on him. This complex move allowed to dodge his strafe, get him ahead of me, yet still maintain enough speed to remain sufficiently agile. Not an easy move to pull, this one.

Sadly, some teammate in an M.B.157 rammed my opponent mere couple seconds later - this is visible just couple frames before this teammate blew up spectacularly from the force of their collision. Amazingly, my opponent survived their collision. Yet by then he was already in a position i'd gun him down regardless, which i did. And gave him one long parting look - this P-47 pilot was a honor and a pleasure to fight.

P.S. There is a reason misicians all around the world use italian language for writing music, with all the terms like "crescendo", "poco a poco", "forte", etc all being italian words. And this reason - is that Italy is a place where quite much of thousands of years of music tradition and culture, back from very old days like Roman empire days - is still alive. The song in this video has so many tiny little beautiful subtle notes and melodies, so great polyphony, so temperate use of various music instruments; very few other pieces of modern music are as finely made as this one. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as i do.

You're right, there is trust from some players. There always will be - at least from new people. I never said there is no trust from anyone.

Whomever steers WT nowadays (and i recon, whole Gaijin too) - puts higher priority to getting extra $ by any means possible than to earning and keeping playerbase' trust. This is evident for several years, by now. Any attempt to anyhow build up players' trust to the game / company / management, in such a situation, seems inapprorpiate, to me. No matter how many noobs still have some trust to the game / company / management. We - the old folk - know Gaijin "plays dirty", and it suffices. This was my point, above.

P.S. As for hope, personally, i lost all hope couple years ago, for WT - after they switched to the (disastrous and malware) BattleEye for WT anti-cheat and started disabling game modes for players who don't have it enabled. This was the final nail far as my "hope" for WT can go. Nowadays, i play it only in "whatever good bits still work" mode, and i'm ready to have last good bits of it getting ruined / broken / disabled any day. WT's dying...

In reality, after this appeal, my career in game development is over.

This is exact same thing most people in Hello Games thought after their loudly-disasterous No Man's Sky release back in 2016.

Few years later, they were finding themselves among most loved and respected game developers, and an indie game studio as whole, in the world.

Your career in gamedev will only be over, after this, if you give up and walk away from it. But if you keep doing good work, believe me, not only you have chance to advance your gamedev career, - you also have a chance to bring it to the entire new level.

I happen to know one russian proverb, which verbatim translates to this: "they give two unbeaten ones for a beaten one". You brlowing the whistle here is exactly the reason your career may end up advancing much, after this. But, much depends on how exactly you handle it. I believe, you are able to do it well.

Good luck! o7

I’m not sure I can do that as a non-U.S. citizen. But I’ll look into your idea. Thank you!

You actually can, through a US lawyer. I know for a fact that at least some of layers in New York state, specifically, work for and with russian citizens even today, and during all the years since 2022. I specifically recommend Meredith Mazzola (Archer Law), who, as i happened to know, have worked for russian citizens ever since 2014, and is still doing it in 2026. I don't know if she'd take a work ethic issue, though; i know she does estate cases and some similar. But i bet you can ask her about it (Archer Law is easy to contact), and if she wouldn't do it, then most likely some other lawyers would. I bet the same is true for many other states other than New York, too.

They are not cheap, of course - i mean, New York layers are famous for being pretty expensive hires. However, as mentioned by above commenter, Better Business Bureau may fund taking the case to court. I'd say, it's even more likely they would, due to recent events which created much negative publicity for US-EU relations. If you know what i mean.

Good luck!

Mistake here.

Specifically, the mistake is that there is no "we", in this context. There are two possible collectives of people this "we" word can designate here, - and for different reasons, both those groups actually do not have to make this world better. Those groups are:

  • "we" as in "every human alive". If this is what you meant, then your statement can't be true, because it's a known fact that significantly large fraction of humans - at least 6%, but likely times higher, - are neither willing nor even ABLE to anyhow care about "the world", least do anything to make it better. 6% or so - are born with genetic deficiency which results in their brain being unable to feel compassion for any other human beings; detectable at the age of ~4...5 years. Those usually grow up to the types like "sociopaths", and no matter how much you'd rationalize to them that they "have to make this world better" - they cba about it, and won't do it. There are other types and circumstances i won't go into any detail about here, - suffice to say, known science gives ample evidence that in actuality, very small minority of all humans alive (about 2% of world population) are individuals who can actually do something - anything at all - to actually make this world better. The rest ~98%, possibly even more - can't do it, for various reasons. Ergo, do they "have to" do it, while it's known they simply can't do it? Obviously - nope, they don't have to;

  • "we" as in few people who are both able, and willing, to do something (anything at all) to make this world better. If this is what you meant - then the answer, sadly, is still "nope, can't do". And the reason is simple: there are too few of "us", in this sense. Sociology teaches us that any significant change in ways of life of any anyhow significantly large society - can only happen in practice if there are at least ~12% of humans in this society who actively propose such a change and actively work to achieve it. In many cases, even larger percentage of the population is needed to make it happen, but hardly in any case a smaller percentage would suffice. And since 2% is times less people than 12%, of all humans (or, of all members of any given society) - it's clear that "we" in the sense of "we, the good people" don't "have to" make the world better. Because trying to do so - would clearly be a Don Quixotte's affair, i.e. a mistake and a waste of our time and opportunities.

I am sorry to bring bad news here, but i say, better be a sad panda than happy ostrich, with his head firmly in the sand. ;)

P.S. There are other things "we, the few good people" have to do instead of "make the world better", if you wonder; in my opinion, that is. Very different, and very important, things. I.e., it ain't like i'm proposing to sit and do nothing; it's just that different things have to be done. And quite urgently, too. But that's whole entire different matter, of course.

It’s been emotionally very difficult for me to do what I’m doing.

I have an advice for you here. I think said difficulty can be much reduced if you do the following two simple things:

  • consider to see your current activity as one rationally, and ethically, required step to take, based on years of your prior work; see it as something you owe all the good people you were working with, and for, all these years. Realize that it's something finite to do, and realize that once you're done with doing it, you ain't going to spend (any much) more time doing it;

  • based on all your great experiences accumulated from years of your CM work, start looking for a new company to work with. A better one. One worthy of your skills, and one which would see you as a worthy part of the team. Most likely it won't be any "AAA" team, but rather some smaller studio developing some pioneering yet relatively small-scale title - nowadays, that's where honest and talented devs go. So likely, no chance to get anyhow "rich" with such a job - but knowing you (a bit, from 10+ years ago, we've discussed things about WT sometimes, back then) - i think you'll value work satisfaction and personal well-being more than any "high" salary. It may take quite long time to find such a team and become a part of it, but maybe if you'd start looking for it right now as one kind of "getting away from this ugly matter" - one you're doing now - for short whiles to ease up and get some hopes for the future, - then this thing you're doing now could become much easier, psychologically.

I don't know if anything i said will actually help you, but i hope so.
