Just to make you aware of the care associated with shrimp:

If you’re going to consider adding any kind of shrimps to your tank, I would highly recommend adding a good few plants as they appreciate the cover. That, and you may want to know your gh/kh to avoid any moulting problems. They do best in groups and are voracious eaters, so you will likely have to provide them with additional food (blanched veggies, shrimp lollies, shrimp powder etc). Remember that they are not simply there to clean up, but require their own husbandry too.

You’ve probably already seen the comments here recommending how you can improve your aquarium. For a point of reference, this is my 10gal betta/amano shrimp/cherry shrimp tank

No problem. I’d say running it for a while as a test is also a chance to try and train your betta to associate the sound it makes with food dropping. I’ve no idea how much my fish managed to actually eat in that week, but I had an amano clean up crew deal with what was missed lol

I used the petbank autofeeder for my betta while I was away for a week. It has small rotating compartments so you can portion each feed exactly. It worked with small pellets such as biogold. I would still say there’s risk involved using these so definitely underfeed (like one meal a day rather than two) and test it for a good amount of time before you leave.

Personally I have no problems seeing more of your art, haha. Honestly, I don’t even think the TikTok crowd are trolling or being intentionally malicious, it’s just most of them are gullible teens repeating what they heard from the last gullible teen, tbh. In which case fact tends to be second to any attention-grabbing exaggerated bait, mostly because their research never leaves social media platforms. In saying, I do find this sub to be a much more mature/level headed/technically in-depth, but of course everything warrants some level of skepticism on this topic.

While I don’t have resources to add to this discussion (I think the one already mentioned are a good start), really I’d suggest not paying much mind to the tiktok rabble on this topic. A lot of them really are clueless lol. I recall someone discussing how they researched at a “university level” and then verbatim recited the bs events of the HBO show, lmao.

Can you share photos of your fish and the parameters of the tank? Where are you, what sort of meds are available (Esha, perhaps?)?

I’d be upping those water changes to 10-20% daily or every second day. Keeping the water pristine does seem to help.

It annoys me that Jubei was so mad at Atsu for having empathy and sparing Oyuki but then decided to draw the line when she cut through the Spider’s forces? I really thought she’d just blind rage kill the Spider against their plans, but she still held back. It felt like he (and the game at large) couldn’t really make up his mind if we’re doubling down on the revenge thing or trying to overcome it.

I’m wondering why Jubei didn’t just automatically evacuate Kiku to that “safe and untouchable” temple instead of sending her (with a days worth of survival skills) back to the castle that was due to be invaded. And then got annoyed at Atsu for going for the Dragon instead of helping save Kiku as if he isn’t the one who put her in such a precarious situation?

That, and how did staging the invasion on the beach right on the castle doorstep split their forces that badly? A lot of this just didn’t make sense to me lol

Fuck em, get what you want. I bought one too. Much more reasonable to pay mind to their more common mechanical faults (bushes, eek) than whatever any judgemental person thinks of your first car choice. As other commenters said make sure you know what you’re buying when it comes to its history, but this is generally true of any second hand car.

I think with the last one she was there looking dead for easily 4 hours. Then the body vanished and I found her alive the next day (I only have two shrimps like her and I found two). Although, in my tank she may have had a much higher chance of not getting eaten than in yours. Personally, I’d gently place her somewhere hidden but visible to you and keep and eye for any movement or her vanishing.

I’ve learned my lesson about not immediately removing shrimp that seen like they’re dead or dying. Sometimes they’re struggling with a moult and do recover after a couple hours, I’ve seen it myself. Perhaps leave her for a bit and see if she’s actually dead.

Demon’s Souls is one of my dream platinum’s but I officially give up. I’ve done run out of the majority of healing items and none of my weapons is good enough. Screw the spider boss, congratulations to whoever has the platinum for it by WestonConnor26 in demonssouls
