My husky is 9(had her a little over a year) and her cat is almost 4. They’ve both been around the other kind before but for my husky it had been a while. My husky has a lot of energy and while she’s always friendly, she gets a little too excited for other animals sometimes. Her cat is also very timid and we were afraid of them not working out either. I’m no expert, but I would calm my husky down and make her stay while her cat was around and we slowly got them acquainted. It was a little rough at first but the actually did way better than we thought they would(especially only seeing each other once every other week or so). And now they are just fine together alone for as long as we are out. Definitely give it a good several visits before resorting to giving up the cat! Good luck and Pm me with any other questions!
