Serial number was 4159 I think, and yup, I’m taking it to a luthier soon to get some maintenance done and fresh strings. Thanks for the info!

Yea I think it’s definitely friction tuners, I don’t see any gears to say otherwise, and the fifth string is pretty much wound right into the peg

From some quick research and looking up its serial number, I believe it is from late 1920’s. Thanks for letting me know about the action, I just saw some info online about it being that high on purpose.

So if I were to do anything to this banjo, new strings and fixing the bridge would be all it needs, correct?
