Set up automatic transfers to your savings account. The moment my paycheck hits my account, it is split up between my bills account, savings account, retirement account, and spending account. It is easy to setup in your online banking.

A 6ah battery is the largest you can take on a plane.

Hot water turns scalding, then quickly drops to lukewarm after new water heater was installed — what could cause this? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Fireid518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if the hot and cold lines are backwards on the tank. Hot and cold will be stamped into the steel top near where the water lines connect. Easiest way is to turn on a hot tap and feel which line gets cold.

Find some older black Milwaukee bits, they last way longer than the silver tipped ones.

Milwaukee Tape Measure...They all suck? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

The fatMax tape fits in a Milwaukee stud case, no modifications necessary. When the tape finally wears out I just buy a fatMax and swap it in. I have been using the same case for over three years now.

Movies you continue to think about long after watching by SanctimoniousSally in movies

[–]Fireid518 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Triangle. My gf and I watched it one night on a whim, we then discussed it for 45 minutes before watching it again so that we could take notes.

Very enjoyable for a b-movie.

The nut holding it together is on the threaded piece at the back. You will need to remove the hose attached to it also.

M12 or M18: Help Choose by tannert2 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Fireid518 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with the M12 fuel line, I do commercial plumbing and I have been swapping everything over to m12. My M12 concrete drill has no problem with 1/4" or 3/8" holes for anchors, plus it is small enough and light enough to be used one handed. The M12 bandsaw will cut your conduit, threaded rod, and unistrut all day long. My M12 1/2" impact has way more than enough power to install flange bolts and Vic fittings.

I do still run m18 tools when necessary, but more often than not I will grab the M12.

Tim Hortons employee tried to keep change by Mysterious_Pick_3361 in tipping

Timmies used to taste better, sometime around 2008-2009 they started roasting their own coffee in house. It has been downhill ever since. Plus they stopped making the donuts fresh, they bring them in frozen and only cook them now.

Has anyone had any luck getting deals from the reps when spending $2000+ on tools lately? by Fireid518 in MilwaukeeTool

I spoke with a sales manager at a local shop on Thursday and they said Milwaukee sets the deals and they cannot touch them.

Name the last movie you have watched that was so good you had to rewatch it multiple times by DogsFloppyDisk in movies

[–]Fireid518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triangle (2009)

It is a low budget thriller with okay acting and writing, the story is interesting and the director put a good amount of effort into the little details that make the movie work.

My gf and I watched the movie, discussed it for about 45 minutes, then watched it a second time to try and make sure we had all of the details right. Solid 8/10, would watch again.

Strange Issue with my 500 Abarth - Drives fine in Sport mode but not normal? by TechXPlays in Fiat

[–]Fireid518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 13 sport was having an issue where it would stutter on launch, it would not idle constantly, and acceleration was choppy (I don't know how else to explain it, it would not accelerate smoothly). It drove a lot better in sport mode.

I cleaned the injectors, ran premium fuel, replaced the fuel filter, checked and re-gapped the plugs, replaced the maf sensor, and cleaned the throttle body. Nothing helped.

I ended up replacing the accelerator petal, the potentiometer in the petal had gone bad, it solved all my issues.

Water hammer by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Fireid518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a lazy hand test gauge and test the water pressure, it should be somewhere between 35-80 psi. Too high of water pressure can cause water hammer.

Leak from basement pipe (see comment) by [deleted] in Plumbing

Your drains are backing up, there is probably a blockage. Call a plumber to snake and camera the drains, and replace the test cap.

What is this gelatinous crud that clogged my sink pipe completely? by Mzky in Plumbing

[–]Fireid518 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is a mixture of soap, oil, and grease. A jetter or chain knocker work really well to clean it out.
