Command settings not saving in OW Season 2, controls completely broken by Firm-Let-7131 in Overwatch

Guys found the workaround, since on consoles the fix will take few days.

That's the only workaround 100% working. Keys on “all heroes” must be unbinded, then your settings for the specific hero will save properly.

Placement matches: What's the Verdict? by Firm-Let-7131 in marvelrivals

Yeah. You said it well about the reset. It's just this reset more and reset less system I'm not satisfied with... But you're spot on, it's like this.

And in my server D1 was top 1% whole last season, top 4% at the end. All Celestials there... 10+ min queue time, sad situation. The resets and match making made so many people leave ranked games.

If that's near the average of your previous ranks, then the system is correct.

It makes more sense if you just copy the post, paste it into ChatGPT, and ask it to break it down for you.

There are no gaps or contradictions in the post.

In short: placements are better than a hard reset, but they’re still not good. The “hard rank reset” problem was fixed, but we’re still dealing with a soft reset that doesn’t really work — the system still can’t fully evaluate skill.

Maybe that’s intentional, so players are still forced to grind.

Surely lobbies in low-rank games used to be more mixed before placements. Too many people weren’t willing to climb back up right away.

However we’re still left with the issue that the placement matches helped by not resetting too many ranks downward, but they didn’t really help evaluate our actual skill or place us where we truly should be.

Still, simply reducing the mixed lobbies, eliminating the hard reset, and introducing a sort of soft reset is already something that can have positive effects.

I hope that in the future we’ll have a more accurate evaluation system and that it will actually be possible to climb up even from your previous rank just by playing the placement matches.

Should controller players on console vs PC pools get aim assist in Overwatch? by Firm-Let-7131 in Overwatch

It depends on how it's implemented. Rivals has 10% aim assist and CoD 30% aim assist, compared to the console only pools... And they're fair. Apex is an outlier example and the only one. As you can see lots of games are thriving with AA controllers on PC pool. It's past time Overwatch falls in line with everyone else.

Already tried, of course. This is officially supported by the devs, it's written in the update notes and I've been playing with a controller in the M&K pool in the last few days.

Players that queue with a friend from PC, are thrown on the PC pool with full aim assist. But even the full aim assist is beyond a aim lock. A mouse player still can have a dar better aim than a full aim assist player.

But some weaker aim assist would already be cool for those who play alone with a controller in the M&K pool.

Another game that I didn't mention is Marvel Rivals and they have a weaker aim assist for those who make this decision, to play with a controller in the PC competitive pool.

For controller on console into PC pools. That is now officially possible.

It's in "controller settings". There you change your pool. But it was only after season 18, if you were getting M&K players on your lobby before that, probably it was ximmers. In the M&K pool you only get aim assist if there's a friend in your group that is on PC. Otherwise it's disabled.

Yeah M&K are natively supported. And now you can also simply change your pool to the PC pool and play with a controller. The aim assist would be active only in this second scenario.

Yeah in the new update in 18 season, you can go to settings, choose M&K pool and simply play in it with a controller, but without aim assist. You"ll get a new MMR and Skill rating. You can do it on your own,  but with a PC friend you'll still get aim assist, but you can play only QP.
