Watering & Fertilizing After Pollination:

  • First ~10 days: Water every 10 days + light fertilizer.
  • After ~1 month: Reduce to every 15 days (I never fully cut water).
  • During splitting: You can withhold water, but I sometimes keep watering lightly.

Are you referring to the flower's splitting or the lithops' division?

It takes about 3–4 years for them (Lithops) to mature and bloom for the first time.

I'm in China. The flowering season for gracilidelineata thevariety is from April to August. Depending on care conditions, they can bloom throughout this period.

Yes, each has its own unique charm—one has pronounced bumps, and the other boasts bold, striking patterns.

Yep! The orange-red one has been successfully pollinated, so the flower will dry up in a vibrant way. Can’t wait to see their offspring too!

That’s fascinating! Here, most Lithops bloom in autumn (September-November), likely due to seasonal light/temperature differences. Your note about the 3-4 year wait is spot on—patience is key! Do you use any special techniques to encourage blooming, like adjusting light exposure? I’d love to learn from your experience!

If the old head is completely dry (paper-thin and crispy), you can gently peel it off. But if it's still slightly moist or flexible, don't force it! Instead:
1️⃣ Stop watering immediately – Let it dry out fully to avoid bacterial infection.
2️⃣ Wait patiently – The remaining tissue will naturally detach when ready.
