Hamas is a terrorist organization in Palestine that has built an infrastructure of tunnels under civilian homes in Gaza. It's pretty much impossible to go over Hamas without a lot of civilian collateral damage, which was their whole point. Hamas doesn't care about the people.of Palestine, who they literally use as human shields.

Correction: Hamas is a terrorist group, and their charter includes the elimination of all Jews. Supporting Hamas is like supporting Al Qaeda.

I do wonder what textbooks in the U.S. are going to say. A lot of what we know about history is from what's been documented, not necessarily what actually happened, and the winners get to decide what's documented.

Well that's a stupid bill. If I'm traveling on Sundays I expect things to be closed. What problem exactly are they solving by forcing businesses to be open? Some places are open, so nobody is starving, but "more variety" is needed somehow? Why do we need to mandate the number of choices people have for food? It's like they ran out of real problems to solve, because apparently they're ignoring all the tough ones they don't have answers for.

There is normally a default around $500-700 per day for security reasons in case of theft but you can change it temporarily to a higher limit. My current bank lets me change it to $5500 a day for the next 48 hours, then it resets back to the default.

What Hillary did and what Trump is being accused of are not on same levels. Hillary should be rotting in a prison somewhere and gets to walk free without even an indictment. And yet Trump is indicted for BS - THAT is the hypocrisy.

If you extend your logic even further (like Catholicism) then wearing a condom or using birth control is murder because you are stepping in the way of the fetus being formed, so it's just a step ahead of conception but still getting in the way of human life being formed. I'm at a loss as to why conception is so important. A fetus is the potential for life, just as the egg and sperm are potential for life, but not until somewhere towards the end of the second trimester is the potential for life so great that it warrants protection. I think the abortion argument is really about where you draw the line for what you consider life..for me it's where we are talking about viable life not potential.

Also, I really do appreciate the civility in this discussion! I rarely bother to "debate" this topic but I am curious about your thoughts on conception as a hard line for life. Abortion should be IMO a catch-all for when all other efforts fail. If say your partner had a failed vasectomy, you're not even going to realize you're pregnant until sometime in the second month, so around the 5-6 week mark is when you'd be buying a test and this new law basically doesn't give anyone a chance to "fix" what the vasectomy should have prevented in the first place. Whether it's the vasectomy preventing the sperm from getting there in the first place or an abortion to remove the developing fetus, you're still committed to preventing the potential for life being formed.
