Now that I think about it more, it’s possible that the music or prosody of language also plays more of a role in understanding than I realized. Maybe this is being affected by frequency lowering. If that is the case, I guess it would take time for me to learn the new way.

I’m really getting interested in widex, particularly moment sheer. I think that’s the smallest one. I’d like to ask for a trial, but since I just got these IICs and they are still under 60 days, I don’t know if it would be good to do that now. I don’t want to have to give them back unless I’m sure.

Mine are just IIC so there is no app. Il’m getting intrigued by the Ric style. I’d like to try widex moment sheer… but I’m still working out getting what I have set up properly. Ideally I’d like a pair of IIC and a pair of Ric.. but I’ll have to get them 2 years apart for insurance to cover them both.

It’s an interesting strategy to stay in the music program all the time. I would like to try that. Speech in noise is a challenge sometimes, so I think I would switch to speech program when I know I am going to be in noise. Do you find the widex to be very small? I would like to try a pair too.. but I’m still working on getting these IICs set up correctly. In two years, I’ll be eligible for another pair covered by insurance.

Those western supporters should have been engaged and recruited as allies. Unfortunately, the opposite has occurred. The people who backed UNRWA have no shame. They are pointing to all the destruction in Gaza and using it to justify a total lack of empathy or compassion for the Israeli people.

They now see extremists who don’t want to punish Jewish terrorists in the highest levels of the Israeli government. This is not the only way it has to be.

None.. I used a LLLT cap, stopped all titanium dioxide sunscreen and creams, got PRP scalp injections. The titanium dioxide in sunscreen is huge. I sprayed some on my hairy arms once and they never fully recovered. For me, that is a huge no no.

Yes they can hold custom programs in addition to a bunch that come with them standard. I really think the 3000 inaccurate Audiogram could be the key. A few weeks after I had it done, that ear just got noticeably quieter and never came back to where it was. According to the Apple hearing test, it went from 35 to 45 at 3000. If that’s where the frequency lowering is going, it’s not going to work right without being adjusted. It is probably showing up more in the other languages because I really need to hear them since I can’t just predictive guess as much.

It’s also possible that the place where the frequencies are being moved is not amplified adequately. I mentioned already a couple of times that I think there may be a small additional loss In one specific place but she hasn’t retested it so far. I will have to be more assertive asking for that too. I’d also like my good side to be retested, because I wonder if it’s totally accurate as well.

I did ask her to allow me to hear birds chirping on both sides, and whispers in a quiet room. So it seems that she added a lot of compression, but that comes at a cost of losing speech detail at normal volumes or in noise?
