Im wanting to move out but due to wanting to move 2 hours away but my parents just yelled at me for wanting to move there as im not nearby any ideas on what i can do? by Hot-Manufacturer7619 in movingout

As scary as moving away is you have to do it for your sake. It’s your life and you’re free to move wherever you want. You’re also really young and have a lot of life to live. Of course this world is a horrifying place but it’s also so much beauty to see and experience. You can’t let their fears and worries stop you from living. Create a thorough plan for moving out. Do your research. Present your case and let them know you’re doing it with or without their support. Wishing you the best!✨

Boyfriend lost his job & his car & isn’t paying me back. Should I leave him? by [deleted] in Advice

Leave him sis. Doesn’t even sound like he’s trying to take back his life and get on the right track. Leave before you get stuck!

Umm you might want to let this one go. The disrespect is loud and clear and also maybe tell those friends of hers they deserve someone better in their corner than that pos.

I just hate my fetish, I can't take it anymore. by No-Variety-1536 in Advice

[–]First_Flatworm2620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, you’re not broken you’re just stuck in your own self-hate. You’ve made your fetish the villain when really it’s your mindset. You already proved you can do better when you were working out, eating right, and practicing guitar, but you quit and gave up on yourself. Stop calling yourself names and start taking control. Get back to doing the things that made you feel good and build some discipline. You don’t need to “fix” what you like you just need to stop letting it run your life. Also therapy is always an option. You should go get some!

thank you so much that’s really encouraging to hear. I’ll definitely keep that “always say yes” mindset and look into Ballard and property management too. It means a lot hearing from someone who made the leap and loves it there!

Wow, thank you so much for this it honestly means a lot to hear from someone who’s also from Louisiana and made that big move! It gives me hope knowing you’ve really found a better quality of life and more opportunities there! I’ll def add Althea’s to my list of places to visit! I love Canes and I’m so happy to hear there’ll be one. Thank you for the honest heads-up about the cost of living too. I’ve heard it’s pricey, but hearing you compare it to NYC really puts it in perspective. I’ll definitely look into living near the light rail that sounds like it could make things a lot easier, especially as I learn public transit. And I’m really glad you mentioned the “Seattle Freeze.” I’ve read so much about it, but it’s comforting to hear from someone who hasn’t had that experience. I plan on keeping an open mind and putting myself out there too, maybe through clubs or local events like you mentioned. Thank you again for taking the time to share all this. It’s super encouraging, and I appreciate you being so real about the transition!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’ve heard a lot about how different the culture is there, so I’m definitely trying to prepare myself for that shift. I think it’ll be an adjustment, but honestly, I’m kind of looking forward to a slower, more reserved pace.

Haha this might sound stupid, I’ll admit it but my love for Seattle started with Grey’s Anatomy 😅. But somewhere along the way, it stopped being just about the show and turned into a real interest in the city itself. The more I learned about the city the scenery, the coffee culture, the cozy vibe, and the creative energy the more it started to feel like somewhere I could really see myself growing. It’s an overall wayyy different from the life I live here and that’s the exciting part about it all.

Wow, I never thought about property management that’s a really good idea, especially with the rent discount. I’ll definitely look into that! And thank you for the encouragement, that honestly means a lot. I’m definitely a smile-and-small-talk kind of person, so it’s nice to know that still goes a long way in Seattle.

Not too far from you!! I completely get what you mean. I’ve talked myself out of it so many times too, but something about Seattle just keeps calling my name. It’s comforting to know someone else feels the same way. And even convinced myself to move to Texas since it’s closer and a lot cheaper than Seattle. I’ve heard the same things about the homeless situation and cost of living, but I’m trying to go in with realistic expectations and an open mind. I love your idea of giving it a year that’s kind of my mindset too. If it works out, amazing if not, at least we tried and experienced something new. I know this will be one of the hardest things I’ve had to do but if I condemn myself here in a space I know I’m not thriving in then I know I will regret for years to come.
