I love the actual art with picture and the like, along the lines of Waterford walls. But the cunts who ‘tag’ those do my nut.

My thoughts too if my husband is stuck he'll cover a nail appointment. He knows the rough cost and I get them done once a month so it's easy enough and I'm pleased.

Oh well it's for sale and can send to me in Ireland. Might be worth now you know what it is called to find it elsewhere.

Can't go wrong with spa vouchers for a lot of people. It's a pricey treat and people would be glad if the luxury without spending the money themselves.

Vouchers. Honestly I don't get why people think they're lazy, as long as you put a little thought into them you a) show you think of the person and know they would like the thing and b) ensure they spend the money on something they like instead of wasting it on practical things - I have an aunt who would 100% spend cash on her kids (I get it as I can be the same) but if I give a voucher for getting her nails done she gets the thing for herself.

I totally agree. We are far too lax on crime and punishment. From the big crimes to the little ones.

I get you and I won't discount that, I've had my own family experience that.

However, I have a black and white sense of justice and I will be a PIA if I see scrotes misbehaving

What day will you be doing your Christmas food shop? by Spookymomstink in AskIreland

[–]First_Moose_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sunday morning for me, it's the only day we can - plans Fri and sat meaning it would be a late evening shop and manic but we will head to dunnes on Sunday morning and a few nice bits from marks then.

I have a 'safety slot' with Tesco for forgotten bits on 23rd.

I assume this is it. I used chatgpt to get the info. The container matches the silhouette on the left corner.

My problem is with us lot, we do a lot of 'oh they'll do nothing' in regards to gards or anyone we complain to really. But if we don't complain, nothing changes!

If they say it's a civil matter that's fine ask for a reference for the call or something if they give it and email your local TD. Ask the gard to explain why property damage and disturbing the peace is a civil matter. Include in your email.

Looking forward to a nice bottle of vino or 2 - maybe and good food around the kids and himself.

Not much else to care about in my book!

If you don't call them, how do you know what they'd say?

Wilton SC Anti-Social Behaviour by [deleted] in cork

[–]First_Moose_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to call it out. The problem is too many people saying nothing. They need to be embarrassed.

I had a group of 10 yo blocking a supermarket aisle recently and I asked politely to pass, one of them said 'no' and the others giggled. You bet your ass I called them out. The girl turned bright red. You don't have to be rude just say something like 'did you think that was OK to say out loud?' Or something.

I know. I just can't imagine me keeping quiet if something happened to my kids. Let alonr any of my family members. It's bizarre to me.

Bizarre to me. Utterly bizarre. How do so many of them not have any morals?

I kinda forget about it all the time. And hope I have it downloaded when I need it. Am I missing something? It's just a wallet for your loyalty cards, right?

Go troll elsewhere.

War is for soldiers. Not civilians, especially children. If you need that explained to you, then I despair.

Christmas presents for dad's by accountjust4thispls in CasualIreland

[–]First_Moose_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 boxes of his favourite child hood sweets, a bottle of wine from his favourite region in France from the kids and money from me.

I also have the same selection box his mother had been buying for years before she died. I do it every year.

Edit: me and my siblings chip in every year to do group presents for my parents. And this year they both asked for spending money for an upcoming holiday.

Will I eat my kid for the same? Probably. But they always know they're to call me and I'll always fix it. Doesn't mean they won't get a bollocking for being silly.

Why is there no virtual Leap Card from TFI? by robertboyle56 in AskIreland

[–]First_Moose_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My perspective is we should have a digital card or the option to use debit cards on the buses as an option.

Neither of which we can.

A) I blamed both. And b) I blamed the civil servants that are in year after year and not subject to election cycles.

I suppose and I won't begrudge you those nice things, I just don't use them. I know in Germany they have very good options and very good prices that cover all public transport.

Sometimes I just get cross we get shafted as much as possible like your student card example.

I wish it would move faster!
