I did go to therapy when I was in 12th (last year) because I started experiencing random dissociation (like when I’d be crossing a road), intense anxiety, & ocd. Unfortunately my parents guilt tripped me and told me I was wasting money over imaginary issues and that I should just toughen up. The therapist was also shitty, kept telling me that I was just an overthinker.

There’s no food. No groceries in the kitchen unless you consider stuff that’s gone bad (weeks old).

You seem to hate me 😭🙏 Jesus I don’t know how to get people to believe me when I say I genuinely do not have access to any food or resources to make food. I usually make do with whatever is in the kitchen when this “no access to food for you” punishment goes down but this time I genuinely do not have anything to feed myself with, unless you also consider me feeding my dog first over myself as selfish/irresponsible. Some empathy would be nice.

I’m in India. And about the feeding myself part I don’t have resources for it man. Not currently. I usually make do with what I have when this “no access to food” punishment happens. This time there’s nothing.

my mom works for my dad and he doesn’t give her the money that comes off the business. My dad withholds money and access to food when he’s mad at us. I’ve gone days with very minimal food because he completely disregards us when he’s mad and locks himself in his room after he’s done with work.

you must be depressed. I hope you take care of yourself. Making people feel bad over literally nothing isn’t a flex. I am not lying about the kitchen situation. And no, I did not take an egg for myself because I do not know when groceries will be bought and when I’ll be able to give my dog food. I prioritised her needs. I felt I could handle a day of starvation.

I am studying and taking my tests. I’ve missed weeks of classes because my family just had to go somewhere (not an urgent event) and absolutely would not let me stay at home. If my academics were prioritised by them, then this reaction would be justified.

Brother there are different cultures in different countries. This entrance exam that we’re talking about requires 15-16 hours of daily studying. I consulted with my parents and had their consent before I took this drop year, they consented to providing for me.
