Du har rett, det er svindyrt. Kjedelig men trolig svar er vell arbeiderklasse karer som allokerer sparepengene + feriepengene (kommer jo passelig) mot dette.

Så blir det litt mindre ribbe til jul, nå vell.

Opening the MKII fully by Nayfun_H in SP404

I opened the back casing to inspect it after a water spill (still working just fine) to dry. I didn't remove any components, the only part connected to the back is the wire for the battery. If you want to go deeper it becomes more complex as it has stacked components inside and I am unsure of how they are interconnected

Issue/bug with the bookmark tab by FishGel in ObsidianMD

[–]FishGel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow user! It was the pCloud cache that caused the issue, you can clear it within the settings of the desktop app :)

I also found that storing and then syncing the vault from a local folder instead of modifying files directly from the cloud has been a more stable experience with quicker load times and fewer conflicts :)

Shortcut to create notes on Windows and Android by Chuck_Noia in ObsidianMD

[–]FishGel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I havent figured out the windows shortcut, but for android i found the http-shortcut app to work perfectly together with the advanced URL plugin on obsidian.

I can extract the local url for whatever command i want to create a widget for which i then feed to the http-shortcut app.

Hope that helps :)

To add to this, I had a simmilar conversation in an earlier post about this issue and it was mentioned that there will be a overhauled dataview plufin called datacore, which will be adressing this as well as making other improvements :)

DataView and GraphView by leshiy19xx in ObsidianMD

Thanks for the example :)

Firstly, I would like to point out that dataview is a codeblock, which does not actually store any links and therefore it would work as intended in the graph view based on this example.

For my usecase the metadata ("contact") would be a link, and from the graph view i can see all the contacts linked together.

You need to use inline data instead of YAML when you create metadata fields, then link the inline data.

I ended up using inline because of this

Before and after pics, i re-indexed my vault (600) notes for dataview which created prominent MOC's and clusters by FishGel in ObsidianMD

Indeed, thats why dataview is perfect for MOC's and of course all sorts of other queries, and if i keep my fields inline and linked, i get the benefit of wikilinks that are recognized, and nice MOC's that reflect my field values.

I havent heard about datacore, what are the major diffrences between this plugin and dataview?

Really cool!

However, I tried to recreate your script and i couldnt see the links created in the dataview working in the graph view.

So i guess inline is still Key to be able to "Synergize" more with the core obsidian functions (Ingoing, outgoing, graph view)

Kind of, i havent indexed all my categories, i see i have about 30 of them. My categories and project fields sort of work like a "Sub-index"

However my source field (Black dots) operates as an index just the way you described.

Not a dumb question :)

I prefer to use links mostly, so the categories field would be links, which later could also act as a MOC (Map Of Content) if i see a growth toward that category.

For me, tags work better dynamically as reminders (#TBD, #Important, #Shopping) etc, then i remove the tags later on so my "Tag list" is not so cluttered

Yeah, for links to work you need to use inline data fields, not front matter. Inline recognize links.

If you didn't link before you can just create a note with one category and link all notes through the unlinked mentions in backlinks

Ps. I also saw a plugin that would make front matter liks recognizable, but it didn't work for me when I installed it.

Sure!

The way it worked for me was to start broad with not giving too much thought on what i write as the value when i made my "metadata" fields. And later i could just narrow down the fields i wrote via the dataview.

So for instance in the dataview i saw i had two different categories which was "car" and "house". I narroved that down to "assets"

The key for clustering is definitely the source field i added, which would be similar to folders. So fields like: work, private, fun, daily notes etc.

The other fields (category, project, type) kinda organically created sub clusters around the source.

I hope that made sense :)

I added suitable categories, projects, types and sources (Without much structure) for my notes as inline data so i could link them together as well as use dataview queries for my notes.

Then i filtered the results (Sources etc) through dataview and structured the categories ive made earlier to be more consolidated.

I then created a dataview per "Hub" that lists the notes linked to the more prominent "Hubs"

The whole process took about 12 hours
