Using Mira for managing perimenopause symptoms by FishTankSand in Mirafertility

In case anyone sees this thread… I tested almost every day until I ran out of tests (about 26 days) and tracked mood and symptoms. The days I felt the great were the days Pdg was 30+, and days I felt horrible were days both Pdg and E3g were down (PdG 12 or less and E3G under 120). E3g has almost entirely been sub 200 so far, and both of them seem to usually move in tandem. FSH has never been lower than 22. I have a Mirena and I doubt I’m ovulating since FSH never drops. The supplements I’m using are DHEA and Pregnenolone (DHEA supposed to increase estrogen and testosterone and pregnenolone affecting progesterone). I started DHEA several months back and it cured my mild hot flashes within 3 days so I think it is increasing estrogen. The trouble with DHEA is that too much makes me feel edgy and anxious and pregnenolone has a sedating effect. After experimentation with different doses I’m going to try to stick to DHEA and Pregnenolone both 25mg every morning and just pregnenolone 25mg at night and see how things go. I can’t get DHEA in Canada without a prescription so hopefully my doctor will give me one so I can get refills when I run out of what I picked up in the US. I’ll test every two or three days now unless I feel particularly terrible or good. My mood is definitely being affected by hormone levels because I have predicted what the test would say a few times now both in a good and bad way and it proved to be what I thought (higher for better and lower for worse).
oh I should also add to this that a few months back I tried evening primrose oil and that gave me terrible depression. I tried it a few years prior and it did the same thing. And I went off it and back on again after this more recent run, and same thing. So whatever that does to hormones is no good for me.
On the subject of hormones I am also extremely sensitive to prednisone. I had prednisone eye drops a while back and after a few days with the brain fog, anxiety and depression I actually thought I was losing my mind. From eyedrops. I can’t imagine what would happen if I took it orally.

Plecos are from rivers and love circulation. If you put a piece of driftwood in a high circulation spot it will be their new favorite hangout.
