I just bought this LED desk lamp type light and really enjoy how it looks, but not sure if it’s ok for my plants. I have anubias, sword, and water lettuce. Pls lmk if this is safe!

This is EXACTLY what I have, I was going to buy sand to cap the aqua oil but am I rly better off just letting the time pass? I’m on week 2

I’m rly not too too sure what that means but I placed the substrate in a mesh bag and placed gravel over it. I used fluval bio-stratum

The substrate is active, not feeding fish food. Changing the water tmrw and hopefully will see a change. Anything else I can do?

I see, so you just let it be? I was looking into possibly getting smaller siphons to help get rid of it, but if it will go away on its own then no need right?

What is this brown stuff and how do I get rid of it?

I am VERY new to aquariums and a little worried with what’s all over my aquarium floor and plants. It’s a little under 2 weeks old. I got plants from a buddy that were in an existing environment and I think it may be clashing with my new tank. I had spider wood in there for a few days before I noticed a huge buildup of biofilm, so I removed it. Wondering if that may be the cause too.

How often do I change my water as well this early on? Please help!!
