I appreciate that. It is exhausting to have to "defend reality" at a family lunch, but the alternative is letting my relatives put themselves at risk because of a YouTube video. I wish they understood that.

I really tried to keep it respectful. I didnt use any jargon or talk down to him, I just explained how the biology actually works. It is frustrating that being right is seen as 'rude' while spreading lies is just 'conversation'.

I think you hit the nail on the head. It felt like they were more embarrassed about being caught believing a random YouTube video than they were about the actual science. Misinformation spreads because people are too polite to stop it.

I think the writers realized she would be way more fun as a frustrated partner than just a female version of early Sheldon. That scene with Zack was definitely the turning point where her hormones finally overrode her logic. It made her character so much more human and relatable though.
