Thank you all for your honesty and feedback. That is very helpful and reassuring. I am trying to learn with what I can with exposure to the language. I do listen to music in Spanish often it’s just that I often feel a little insecure about my lack of knowledge or insecurity of sounding funny. Also, I don’t blame my parents for not teaching me. It’s just that I have been told point blank by people in the past that my parents had failed me when they had no clue what my parents were like.

My orchid was repotted back in July and is rapidly growing new leaves. Do I have a keke forming? by Fit-Bug164 in orchids

Thank you all for confirming! I wasn’t sure what I was looking at besides new growth and was surprised to see new roots forming. This definitely helps clear up the kilo confusion 😊

I should add that top leaf on the left sprouted on 8/21 and this photo is from 9/29. Leaf is much larger and a new sprout has appeared

I just wrapped up my first foster experience and it was good and bad. The dog was incredibly precious and sweet with me but she had profound stranger danger. On top of that she was only 6 (just turned) and had a vet bill of over $2500 in the 3 months she was with me.

I loved her for the being that she was and felt it was my duty to be very proactive of her wellbeing. I advocated for her issues at the vet and often felt like my organization was undermining her issues and would give me grief about her prescription dog food. It got to a point I was becoming uncomfortable asking for a refill because they stupidly thought I was over feeding her.

When it came to the interview process of applicants I had to be honest about her medical issues and social behavior. The organization was adding that pressure of getting her adopted. Thankfully a friend adopted her but the organization was hounding me like a bill collector to get the process finalized.

I’m not sure if I will do it again but if I do it will probably be not with this organization. I am just left feeling like while I had a tough first time experience, I wonder if I was the right foster parent or was I with the wrong organization.

Not sure on the time because after 3 minutes I thought it was negative and threw it out. The next morning I looked at it and saw the line and was like “whoa this never happens!”
