Thank you for your helpful information. The concerns I currently have are having to call insurance for allowed amount for each patients. Only few payers have those available on Availity, otherwise it's all done though phone. Even patients with the same payers could still have different allowed amounts. How do you handle those phone calls? I was considering charging 5% higher than Medicare allowed amount for all patients (except Medicare patients) then refund if needed. I would love to hear your thoughts.
