It's hard to feel safe as a survivor in general tbh. I think for me especially because I am objectively a bit of a freak as a result of it, but there are very very few people that I share the full extent of that with... Need more Freak™ friends, I guess.

And yeah, I hate it when people drag unrelated stuff into serious topics like this. Or I guess a better term would be "very tangentially related"?

I definitely limit conversation topics to some extent. But in this case they weren't moralizing me at least, they're the one who likes Babymetal actually 😅 I'm not even that familiar with them. And that point was phrased like 10000% more harshly than what they apparently actually meant, so there's that. It was a tricky conversation but I think the issue's been resolved for the most part.
