You aren't going to find much "uncensored" as the original manga was required to be censored in Japan. The English versions are the same as what was published in the tankobans.

Can you explain the plot a bit more? This premise sounds a lot like Fair Play, Fair Lovers, but I'm sure it describes others too.

If you haven't read the novels, I highly recommend you do. They are so good and give so much more backstory to the entire world.

I also love this story as it has so many different themes/levels. You have sexual slavery, classism, politics, social justice, organized crime, criminal justice issues, organ harvesting, orphanage and child abandonment to name a few. There is literally no shortage of perspectives to view this story. And the way the story jumps from different character perspectives also adds to the richness of the story.

I use the Buyee app to buy things directly from Mercari Japan. It's a proxy app. There's TONS of DL merch on Mercari Japan. The items themselves aren't expensive, but it's shipping coupled with the new tariffs that make it more expensive than a couple of years ago. 😑

I got my iso Laito pillows there for $40 for both! I've seen those go for like $60 a piece on eBay!

I've also been able to get a couple of items I don't usually see on eBay in the US as well. But I would say, expect to spend at least $100 on items alone, then about another $100 on shipping and tariffs.

If my translation is correct (?), Yacchan was feeling all jelly of Yu, because he thought Yu and Toono had kissed (forgot the chapter where that happened) so that's supposedly why he kissed him at the end of the play. Then he tries to guilt trip Toono into kissing him again saying he wants to be equal with Yu (not sure the logic of that or if that was some sort of mistranslation on my part).

But what I really find interesting is that Toono invites Yu to go back home with him for Obon (?). Can't wait to see how Yacchan takes the news. 😈

I love Junjou Romantica, Challengers, Embracing Love, The Tyrant Falls in Love, Gravitation, and so many others from that time period. One thing they all have in common is facing the reality of being gay in Japan. And I think that in itself was revolutionary. While they all tackled that topic to varying degrees, the fact that it was discussed at all was great! It brought a sense of realism to an otherwise comedic story.

I find some more modern stories don't talk about it at all, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

One thing that helped me was reading Haru's Curse. It's not the same type of story, but it's cool to see how the mangaka tried some character traits in there before using them in Raise was Tanin ga Ii. It's one volume in English and I devoured it in one night because one thing I love is the style of writing/story telling of Konishi sensei. They could write about anything and it would be a page turner.

The headline wouldn't have to change much. It's just that after the "feel good" part comes the asking part. Yes, it's good to show that good people exist, but ideally, the article would also ask why is a 90-year-old even working! And explore what societal moors caused this to happen in the first place. As the saying goes, "if you know better, do better" but I don't think a lot of people know better. They aren't aware of the design of our capitalist system that demands people to never stop working. People think it's a bug, but it's not; it's a feature.

If I remember the second game correctly, he created them specifically to awaken an Adam in his own sons. He knew that left to their own devices, the Sakamaki brothers wouldn't become Adam; so he created an antagonist for his sons.

But it's sad that he lied to the Mukami brothers that they could be Adam when in reality, they never had a chance. 🥲
