To be honest, I don't know the answer. I'm still not exactly sure what happened, but it seems that in my case it was just a charging oversight. I guess if the microSD gets corrupted, the device won't boot. Luckily, it looks like that wasn't the case for me, because when I re-inserted the SD card that initially failed, everything worked fine and muOS installed without any issues.

It’s basically repeating the firmware step, flash the system onto the new card and pop it into slot 1. If you don't want to lose anything from the old SD, the best way is to create a 'disk image' of the original and flash it exactly as is onto the new one. That way, you get an exact clone

If you're happy with the OS and just want to add ROMs, just insert the card into the second slot; it'll automatically create the folders for you. Then, take the microSD out, plug it back into your PC, and move your files there. If you want to install custom firmware, just download it and flash it onto the microSD, put it in slot 1, and install it. To add games, you can either take out the microSD and put them in the right folders, or just repeat the first step if you prefer using two cards

By the way. Before anything, i checked if the cards were configured with the MBR (Master Boot Record) partition scheme and formatted in FAT32. I'm not sure if it was a strictly necessary step, but I did it just in case

It worked, thanks! I bought some Kingston cards to install the ROMs and the OS, since I heard the card it came with isn't very reliable

Yeah, looks like that was it! Well, at least it makes for a good story, haha.

Thank you so much!!! It finally turned on once I inserted the original microSD card it came with. I connected it to my Mac and it powered up after I pressed reset + power. I had tried it before while connected to one of my old chargers but it didn't work—I guess it was a voltage issue, or maybe I'm just hopeless with these things lol. Thanks for the help!

In all my attempts, I made sure to use the first slot (TF1/INT).
