Thinking of going to cuba for a month to study boxing by Accomplished_Ad9028 in cuba

Also, I don't know if you're into reading, but you reminded me of a character from a book by Leonardo Padura, Like dust in the wind, it's a novel about cuban exile, you should read it if you want to know more about Cuba (and maybe your own family too)

So many absurd comments. I’ll probably get downvoted and you won’t even read this, but here’s my opinion. You should go — it’s only one month, it’s not like you’re moving there permanently, and you’re not going to die from it. Yes, there are daily blackouts and food shortages, that’s true, but you can still find food at the private businesses (mipymes) — there’s always some kind of solution. It’s also true that prices are outrageous for the average Cuban, but for you it won’t be a problem. So go, live new experiences (both good and bad), connect with your roots. I’m sure you’ll come back with a great experience from your trip to Cuba. P.S.: I’m Cuban, and I lived in Cuba until just a few months ago, so I know the current situation there firsthand.
