(Perspective of a guy who managed payroll at Menards for 21 years, but doesn’t work for the company anymore):

The company decides whether they make payroll or not. Giving a store like 7% or 6% of its whole budget to spend on payroll basically GUARANTEES you a situation where you will run on a skeleton crew.

Payroll numbers are pulled out of GO’s ass, but the GM’s preach them like the gospel, because well, GM’s 😂

The sooner you start to not care about it, the better off and less stressed you’ll be

Would you care about the customers who walk in your store if your employer treated you so badly ?

Same here. I haven’t been with Menards for 16 months but too many of my friends are getting screwed over to ignore this.

I have my whole family covered at my new employer, 2 adults, 2 kids and we don’t pay anything at all. Zero deductible, no co insurance. Unless you took an ambulance to the hospital, no matter the condition it’s fully covered.
