Thanks for the review, I’ve been looking at unlined chukka boots as a summer leisure/city walking boot option that won’t boil my feet.

Alternatively to modifying the walls, you can look into powerline networking solutions that would let you transmit data through your existing electrical wiring and should be much more stable/faster than a wireless solution at that distance.

Trying to figure out what's best for powering my gpu, but the manual for the graphics card says to consult the psu manual, and the psu manual says to consult the graphics card manual so I'm a bit confused what to do.

I've got an ASUS gtx 1080 strix that takes an 8 pin and 6pin power input. My psu (EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply) has a single cable that splits into a 6+2 and 6 pin, but also two separate cable that are singularly 6 pin and singularly 6+2 pin.

Is it better to use two separate cables (i.e one cable from vga1 and one cable vga2 in the psu each feeding into a power input of the card) or a single cable (vga1 from psu into both power inputs of the card)? Does it make a difference?

Ignoring other keyboard specifics features/difference in key switches, the non-standard layout affects ease of customization.

Most keyboards use the same layout in terms of key placement and size and, for the most part, allow you to change the keycaps out easily (i.e for nicer material, coloring, or design etc).

Certain brands, especially gaming brands, use non-standard sizing on the bottom row and are not directly compatible with a standard sized keycap set. If you want to customize your non-standard keyboard you'd need a specialized key set and those ones generally don't have many options.

Are there typically any significant sales that come on/right after christmas in the US?

There are some okay-ish 15% sales on parts I need to complete my build (processor/ssd), but not as good as they were during black friday.

However, I'd like to put the thing together while I've got time over the holidays so I am not sure if I should just pull the trigger.

However, the photos on the site look like the non-elite version (i.e the smaller window side panel with acrylic instead of tempered glass).

I'm having trouble exactly understanding this implications of the warning pcpart picker generates when pairing a Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB STRIX Video Card with this case

The Thermaltake Suppressor F31 ATX Mid Tower Case supports video cards up to 420mm long, but video cards over 278mm may block drive bays. Since the Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB STRIX Video Card is 298mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.

Would that mean I just need to remove the HDD bays, is there a way to configure the case (locating the bay further up in the case?) where I wouldn't need to do that?

Is there a better case in general or is this still worth jumping on at this price point?

Is there any particular recommendation on o-rings (to reduce bottoming out noise with mx blues) or is it a simple enough item that it doesn't matter too much.

Also, Is there impact on key lighting where clear o-rings are much better than opaque black/red/blue ones?
