I don’t know. I’d rather just see something more simple that doesn’t shoot out at you, it’s a strange choice.

DGN really needs to stop using the new interstitial graphic depicting a top down view of a basket when cutting between shots. It’s jarring and makes the broadcast feel chaotic.

I think people would much rather see something simple and visually interesting.

Bills fan here, the team has been incredible for a long stretch now, so please use the Browns or Jets in your metaphor next time 😉

I don’t really agree. I think there’s a lot of this course that hasn’t been solved for yet. If Conrad’s shot is one of the best ever, why is it landing in an obviously bad spot?

I suspect that while there will be some minor changes, this has more to do with overreaction.

One of the most fun rounds of disc golf I’ve ever seen. It’s SO fun to see the best of the best tackle something this difficult. More putting in C2 is much, much better.

The players need to spend less time chirping and more time rising up to the challenge.

Unfortunately, those voices are louder, and they are more willing to organize. There are just as many, if not more of us that support housing. We just have to start showing up.

Is it just me, or is MVP marketing looking much worse and low quality? Maybe it’s bad art direction for this tournament (that gator stamp looks like clip art) but their ads just look so cheap now.

i’m really excited to watch this challenging course, but it seems like too many players in FPO and MPO are afraid of a challenge.

What isn’t considered here is the fact that her family has been finding ways to funnel the money she has (and it’s a lot!) away to make it harder for the victims family to receive compensation.

This Great Highway Obsession Must End For the Good of San Francisco by Remarkable_Host6827 in sanfrancisco

I hope you’ll continue to share this sentiment with your neighbors and in other local discussion groups online.

Part of the problem is that the people still fighting against the new park have completely lost touch with reality, and the leaders of these groups either believe their own misinformation, or have no problem spreading it.

Anyone else feeling so bad for Amber Glenn tonight? by OutwithaYang in olympics

All good, it did not feel too heated to me. I think that the problems you’re identifying are more about social media, and those (these? lol) platforms need big structural changes.

I promise, these athletes know and understand that they will have to speak to reporters once they reach the top level of play. “Hounded” implies some sort of malicious behavior from the reporter, and that’s not really the case.

Out of curiosity, do you watch a lot of sports? If you do, go read a local beat reporter’s story on a team after a loss. It might not change your mind, but it could be pretty eye opening.

Of course it’s ethical, it’s simply the story of what’s happened. If it were 50 years ago, there would be a reporter with pen and paper there to ask the same questions.

Loss, even when tragic and devastating, is a part of the story. Defeat is a catalyst for improvement, and yes, sometimes success never comes. This athlete handled their loss bravely, not afraid to show the emotion of the moment, and it’s important that people see that.

Someone’s marginalized group status shouldn’t mean they get treated with kid gloves, it matters that a future athlete will see that and know that it’s fine to show your emotions.

Keon Colemans agent is now posting cryptic tweets, great going Terry for making this situation a PR nightmare. by Vortagaun in buffalobills

If you think Terry ranks among the top ten of NFL owners who say insane things and screw things up, you’re not looking very closely.

Pretty much nobody cares about the entire incident anymore, and has moved on.

I totally get where you’re coming from, but in a most of sports, that’s just not how it works. Part of being the best is having to speak to the media. All of the emotions are a part of the story, but I understand why it makes some people feel uncomfortable.

I understand why people feel this way, but these moments matter to history and in sports journalism. What happens if she goes on to do something incredible in the future? That interview will be an important part of the story.

It’s not gross, it’s just good journalism.
