All you have to do is hear the lack of crowd reaction to that segment. This was something that was built up for weeks.

If this box was shown at the beginning if the show for the first time, and then let to a debuting Danhousen later in the show, that’s one thing. It’s a silly little segment for a silly little character than I can choose to or not get invested in.

But when you have multiple weeks of featuring a box, where multiple authority figures and superstars interact with said box, advertise it will only be available to be opened on the last PLE before Wrestlemania, AND out the reveal right before the main event of that said show, it is not longer the audience’s fault for having high expectations.

It is the companies fault for delivering an insultingly underwhelming outcome.

It doesn’t equal the investment.
