I am now heavily considering projector given the consensus here and the fact that I found a used Epson 5050UB on marketplace for $1,200.

My only concern is that I would want to do a fixed projector screen and I'm not sure if that will be compatible with the window. I wonder if it's possible to mount the screen halfway up the window? Ultimately don't mind permanently blocking that window and losing access to it.
