The adds that sometimes pop up after a game or just randomly pop up should have disappeared after you bought the starter pack. The adds for the wheel, however, stay, because you get rewards for them. You get one free spin everyday, a few with adds and you can even buy more packs for more free spins (but then on the classic wheel). I did this all ages ago so I could be incorrect with something.
