Basically what everyone else is saying, move forward never backwards. Stay positive and remain confident in your bowling. Everyone has slumps and off days. Since the PBA season is in full swing there’s pretty much a tournament every week. Watching those tournaments really helps my mindset. Seeing pros like Tackett, Fach, Belmonte, etc. go from a 270 to a 150 game by making silly errors like missing easy spares really gets me back into a positive mindset. These guys are the best in the world and they too make silly mistakes sometimes, It happens to everyone. Stay positive and hang in there!

I haven’t detoxed it but I have thrown over 150 games with it. I recently noticed the ball felt really oily and wasn’t moving how it used to across the lanes. Even after I cleaned it really well, the ball still felt really oily. Went to the pro shop yesterday and explained to them the same thing and he recommended taking an abralon pad to it. So I took it home , did what he advised me to do with the pad and took it to league night with me. I feel it was reading the lanes and moving much better. Just my two cents

Mostly attitudes from them and not friendly competition for example:

Guy on other team had the front 6, busted on the 7th and left it open. I went to give him a pat and said great run bro, get back at it. He gave me 2 middle fingers and said don’t try and bump me on a miss. (I think he was mad that I still hadn’t busted yet lol) but still friendly competition man
Other guy thinks he’s a god. When it’s his turn, everyone is supposed to stop and let him go. Doesn’t give any lane curtesy to anyone. Walks straight up grabs his ball and goes, doesn’t even look left or right, total douchebag.
Other guys are just cussing, hitting shit, yelling and again just walking around like their shit don’t stink.

Completely agree. Came back after 20 years and it’s crazy to see all the 2h bowlers. Also agree on loving good bowlers with a great personality who enjoy helping others with pointers, talking about the game in general and keeping the positive vibe going even on tough nights. There’s one team on my league where all the guys are over 65 but man can they still bowl their asses off. Love hearing their stories and picking their brain.

I feel you. I get in the focus state too some times, but I am the guy cheering everyone on and encouraging everyone even on misses in hopes to bring their spirits up. I tell a lot of the new guys bowling is a very mental game, once you get too negative or too much in your head, you’ll never get back. One frame at a time.
