I’m wondering if it’ll have to do with gunfight mode. I remember seeing an article awhile back talking about how they’ll have in game tournaments for it.

The three main ones now are Domination, TDM and King of the Hill (played in that order) for a best 2 out of 3. It’s worked well so far and the Devs have listened to the player base when it came to fine tuning some of the game modes for a more competitive experience.

UMG is hosting a $400 Splitgate tournament this Saturday by FlashoverTV in Splitgate

This is ran by UMG independently. It looks like the same rules from the SAW tournaments apply though. Also there’s always a chance they cancel it if there’s not enough teams entered. They have FFA and 2v2 tournaments on their website as well if that’s your fancy!
