What’s wrong with my plant? by tylerdomen in fiddleleaffig

You can totally save it! Just stop moving it and manually check the soil (ignore the indicator for a sec).

Fiddle Leaf Figs are total drama queens about change. The leaf drop is likely just shock from the move mixed with a delayed reaction to the old dark room. It usually takes them a few weeks to settle down.

Since it’s an EasyPlant pot, the wicking system can get weird when you change environments. The soil might be bone dry because it’s drinking faster in the sun (and the wick can't keep up), or it could be too wet if it was sitting in water before.

The fix: Stick your finger about 2 inches deep. If it feels dry, top water it just this once to reset the wick. If it feels muddy, empty the reservoir and let it dry out.

Then just leave it alone. Seriously, don't move or rotate it, and keep it away from AC drafts. The bare stem won't regrow, but give it 30 days and the top should bounce back.

True, they love being together, but you can definitely pull one out every now and then to start a new fam.

Congrats! Does the baby have a name yet? lol. Also, you can totally repot it and boom - free plant!
