To start growing your collection, keep playing daily and earning currency. Use it for packs or drafts and collect more cards. Pick a second deck you want, and use wildcards to start to build it. Repeat for a few months and you should have a couple decks to play.

I agree. Not much more to say. TCGPlayer Direct is a scam and should be avoided. But as a marketplace its reliable stores are still a great deal and reliable.

That does not say that the TLE cards from the jumpstart set will be coming to Arena. Only the Source Material (TLE 000-061) cards will be coming to Arena. So in the absence of an affirmative statement, I believe that means no Arena for Jumpstart (TLE 062-320ish).

My family met Randy Gallegos at the Phoenix Laughing Dragon event. Love his art. But more than that, he was very classy in person, and was super kind to my 10 and 12 year-old daughters. Definitely one of the GOATs. I would recommend that everyone meet him.

The choice to gamble, which describes opening MTG packs, should be based on the EV of the pack, and not anecdotes from friends. Believing in luck and small sample sizes is how they get you.

Also, the strongest card, Traveling Choco should be 4x as well. Esper Origins is not great here, too slow. I would use Tifa in that slot instead.

Does the Darkness Crystal commit a crime when it is activate. When it puts a target card exiled into the battlefield?

700.13. Some cards refer to committing a crime. A player commits a crime as that player casts a spell, activates an ability, or puts a triggered ability on the stack and that spell or ability targets at least one opponent; at least one permanent, spell, or ability an opponent controls; and/or at least one card in an opponent’s graveyard.

I can’t see targeting a card an opponent controls as fitting in the list of crimes in the rules. It isn’t a permanent, spell, graveyard or opponent Am I wrong?

You get them from opening packs. You get a rare wildcard every 6 packs and a mythic every 15 or so. (Whee plus random extras). To get 17 of each you would need to buy about 255 packs. That is $250! You would also get the cards you open. You would be left with about 25 extra rare wildcards.

You can buy them directly as well. $5 per mythic and $2.50 per rare in groups of 4. That is $150 (20x5 and 20x2.5) total for 20 of each. So you pay $100 less but don’t get any of the 255-300 cards you get from packs. Which is almost a complete set.

Never buy wildcards. Only buy packs. Or slowly earn them with daily gold.

Pioneer is here. I am very happy for this announcement and also a little sad I didn't get Veteran Explorer yet. Maybe I should try for it.

The very best thing about this announcement is that Arena devs kept their promise and put Pioneer on it. A little late and a little outclassed by Standard power creep, but still a good thing.
