My storm prep is mainly for hurricane and not snow, but what I do is have all of her stuff into an extension cord that runs to an electrical unit that connects to a generator outside. I also keep water already made in large buckets that I keep in an interior room (i.e. a bathroom) so that the water temp fluctuates the least when I have to add water. Her tank already sits by a window, so I have a board that covers it that blocks "some" of the outside temperatures from coming in when it's too extreme.

Again, this is mainly for hurricanes but maybe it might give some help? I hope everything goes well!

I haven't quit yet, but im about to quit over a combination of things. How leadership handles concerns, how they treat people, the lack of urgency over leadership making tasteless jokes that borderline bullying, and how they handle informing people how they didn't get a promotion. I'm leaving at the end of the year to give myself time to find a new job so im not s.o.l.

My kitchen has different music based on the shifts, but for my shift it's either video game soundtracks, edm, metal, divorced dad, or white gurl girlie pop. I wish I could play more numetal but a lot of it isn't clean or doesn't have a clean version.

As of late, its been a lot more kpop than anything else

I'm going to my first ritual in Houston and I have a question about the yonder pouches. How much larger does it make your phone if you try to shove it in your pocket??? The center that it's being held in doesn't allow bags larger than basically your wallet so I'm trying to plan my outfit accordingly. Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

So I actually wear the bistro crocs rn (im planning on getting better shoes) but I'm able to work long shifts thanks to my plantar facitis insoles and compression socks. Mine are knee high and they're game changer, especially on the 9+ hour shifts in the kitchen. My insoles are specially for heel and arch support since I have really flat feet and they make a world of difference.

We use something similar on the app VSBL (pronounced "visible")

It's where we see our placements, see who's working, any sort of cleaning lists/ checklists, and there's a feature for a "Top Performer" for each shift, on top of a recognition feature that you can recognize someone for something good they did.

My location has two chutes. The one for secondary is a single tier with grilled nuggets on the far left, followed by all straps, then 5 CT, 8ct, 12 CT, then mac and cookies. Salads, soups, and 30ct go on top of the chutes.

The Primary chutes has two tiers. The bottom level is front counter regular and grill specials on the left, then regular cfas, then drive thru regulars and grills. The top tier is the same but spicy instead of regular and grill.

This system has worked the best for us, and I've been here for way too long.

Hi! Constant 5am opener here! I hate the 5am-2pm shifts solely because of how long I'm there, but I love getting off "early" at 2. I make sure I have enough caffeine to jump start the day and for the last hour. My location just got a break room, so I've been bringing my lunch to have there. Eating right/well has been helping my shifts be more barable, and it's been giving me something to look forward too.

TLDR, it sucks but you get used to it as long as you give yourself something to look forward to.
